Talk Out Loud

I took my son to Hetal at Talk Out Loud following his 18 month pediatrician appointment and knowing he was behind in speech. After 5 months, we have graduated from speech and so happy with our experience. We went once a week for 30 minutes and Hetal really focused on where he was at and helping us with tools and practices that we should dive into with him at home to set him up for success. All the words and sign he started using first were everything he learned at Talk Out Loud. People say that speech can come with time but I knew if we had professional support helping guide us on how to better parent and really tailor it to our sons current needs would be important. I appreciate Hetal for acknowledging when our Son had hit his milestone and feeling like we were at a good spot to stop seeing her too. We could have kept going and paying and I think it’s a testament to her practice for knowing when the time was right for him to graduate and being honest about it! We will continue to see how he progresses into year 2 and have a plan with her for if he needs to come back when and why that would be! Would absolutely recommend! "

We have been so pleased with the staff at Talk Out Loud and how they have helped our daughter with severe autism and DS communicate. The owner Hetal has worked extensively with our daughter to expand her oral vocabulary beyond nouns to verbs. She has also helped us master the AAC device our daughter uses as well. She knows how to navigate our daughter’s many moods and meets her where she is, even doing sessions in the hallway if my daughter refuses to budge from her spot. We love how she uses photos of our daughter doing various activities to personalize the lessons and help her make the connections. We highly recommend Hetal and her staff. "

I have been taking my son to Talk Out Loud for over two years. We started with feeding therapy and then transitioned to speech. Hetal has been an amazing and understanding provider for my son. She is very supportive and helped me through my son's diagnoses and answered so many of my questions. She really listens and got to know my son very well. He feels very comfortable with not only her, but the other therapists who have worked with him through Talk Out Loud. I appreciate the flexibility they have provided when I've had to cancel or reschedule last minute. The therapists have coordinated well with his other treatment providers and school. We started with Ms. Patel in June 2023. My son at that time was verbal but very limited. After, only short 3 months his vocabulary grew and was able to carry on small conversations. I looked for speech therapies for a long time. I wanted to make sure we will find someone who will actually care about my son. He immediately warmed up to Ms. Patel and later Ms. Dayna. It was easy to schedule visits, get extra ones during summer time, reschedule and do make up classes. We dropped my son off and I would wait in a car. After the session, the therapist would come outside and talk to me and recommend what to do at home. I highly recommend this practice and definitely saw a difference in just 3 short months! Early therapy is a key to success, and I would recommend it to every mom whose kid is not talking by age 2. Don’t wait, don’t think they are just late talkers. Private therapy is a way to go even though it might be expensive is still worth it in the end. "
