UN Global Pulse is the UN Secretary-Generals initiative on big data and artificial intelligence for development, humanitarian action, and peace. Our vision is a future in which big data, artificial intelligence and emerging technologies are harnessed safely and responsibly for the public good.

We work through a network of innovation labs, called Pulse Labs, which operate in Jakarta, Indonesia, in Kampala, Uganda, and in New York at the UN Headquarters.

Over the last decade, we have been expanding the boundaries of our research and technology policy work in close alignment with the transformative innovation efforts of the Executive Office in which we operate.
