Working with The Apricots Media was one of the best creative decisions we made for our brand. They delivered product photography and social content that felt elevated, cohesive, and actually useful across ads, web, and organic social. They understood our brand quickly, brought strong creative direction, and made the whole process seamless. Highly recommend for any CPG or lifestyle brand looking for strategic, high-quality content. I applied for an SEO Specialist position and received a rejection email without any interview or initial discussion. While I understand that companies receive many applications, it would be helpful for candidates to receive more transparency regarding the selection process and the key qualifications being prioritized. I appreciate the response but was disappointed not to have the opportunity to discuss my experience and skills.

Perhaps there are other things they do well. We hired 829 to build our website & it was by far one of the most ridiculous experiences I’ve ever faced. Staff was incompetent & condescending for good measure. They took a year and change to deliver a site that is horrifyingly unstable. Horrible.
Edit: so many 5 star reviews should make one suspicious. They gave me more attention in an effort to get me to delete this review than when we genuinely needed it. Really horrible organization and I use my experience with them often as a cautionary tale. To recap: 829 offered services they were unqualified to deliver, overcharged for those and spent more time trying to upsell and pad their team with as many warm bodies as they could charge us for. Still salty about it…

Our team chose 829 after interviewing many agencies for the complete rebrand, new website build, SEO improvements, and PR guidance and strategy. Collaborating on the design of the website was surprisingly productive, we needed one or two additional rounds then was first planned and we ended up with a design we all agreed delivered on the requested notes. From brand to website, clean and fresh aesthetic. Our SEO performance was immediately light years improved and continued to grow. The team brought excellent ideas forward and worked well with our opinionated colleagues with clear vision and preferences. I personally enjoyed the 829 staff assigned to our projects and appreciated the ease of working with them through delivery and post delivery management. I would hire them again and I would recommend them without hesitation.

What services do US-based affiliate marketing companies offer?
Most affiliate marketing companies provide end-to-end support for building, managing, and scaling affiliate programs, with services typically covering the following core areas:
Affiliate recruitment: Identifying, vetting, and onboarding affiliates whose audiences align with your target customers and brand.
Strategy development: Defining program goals, partner types, commission structures, and performance benchmarks before launch.
Creative development: Producing on-brand assets such as banners, landing pages, emails, and social content for affiliate use.
Commission management: Setting up tracking, commission rules, and accurate payouts to ensure transparency and partner trust.
Affiliate network management: Managing programs within your platform of choice, including partner communication and reporting.
Program optimization: Monitoring performance data to improve conversions and scale high-ROI affiliates.
How much does an affiliate marketing agency charge in the USA?
US-based agencies typically charge $100-$150 per hour. Many companies also work on monthly retainers, with pricing increasing as services expand to include recruitment, creative production, and ongoing optimization.
Here’s the estimated total monthly expenses for hiring an affiliate marketing company:
Small businesses/startups: $1,050-$3,150 per month, including commissions of $1,000-$3,000 and basic platform fees.
Mid-sized brands: $5,300-$15,700 per month, combining higher commission pools, platform fees, and partial management support.
Enterprise brands: $22,000-$60,000+ per month, covering large commission volumes, advanced tracking, and full agency management.
How to choose from the best affiliate marketing companies in the US?
Key factors to consider when choosing an affiliate marketing agency include:
Affiliate marketing expertise Prioritize agencies that focus specifically on affiliate management rather than offering it as a secondary service.
Industry experience Firms familiar with your sector are better equipped to recruit relevant affiliates and handle industry-specific requirements, such as compliance.
Relationship-driven approach Look for partners that invest in long-term relationships with brands and creators and avoid guarantees of instant results.
Account management structure Understand who will manage your account day to day and how affiliate relationships will be supported.
Pricing and budget fit Review billing models upfront, including retainers, commissions, and minimums, to ensure alignment with your budget.
How does affiliate marketing differ from influencer marketing?
The two terms are often used together, but they serve different purposes and follow distinct performance models:
Criteria
Affiliate Marketing
Influencer Marketing
Primary goal
Drive sales, leads, and measurable conversions
Build brand awareness, credibility, and audience trust
Compensation model
Commission-based; affiliates earn only when a conversion happens
Fixed, upfront payments for content creation
Performance tracking
Uses affiliate links and analytics tools to track clicks, conversions, and revenue
Relies on social media metrics such as reach, impressions, and engagement
Brand control
Brands typically have limited control over how affiliates promote their links
Brands provide defined creative guidelines that influencers are expected to follow
Cost structure
Performance-based with lower upfront risk
Requires upfront spend regardless of results
Do I need an existing affiliate program before hiring an affiliate marketing agency?
No, brands do not need an existing affiliate program before hiring an agency. Many companies work with agencies specifically to set up and launch an affiliate program from scratch.
While a pre-existing program isn’t required, you’ll get the most out of your partnership if:
Your product is already selling
You can offer attractive commissions
You have marketing assets that affiliates can use
How does ROI work in affiliate marketing, and how are payouts structured?
You can measure the ROI by comparing revenue generated through affiliates against total program costs, including commissions, management fees, and tools.
Unlike paid ads, costs scale with performance, making ROI more predictable when programs are managed correctly.
On the income side, companies typically track:
Direct revenue from affiliate-attributed sales or leads
Incremental value, such as new customers acquired through affiliates
LTV(Customer lifetime value), especially for SaaS and subscription businesses
Industry benchmarks show that incremental sales account for roughly 35% of affiliate revenue in mature programs, and many brands report higher LTV from affiliate-acquired customers compared to other paid channels.
Affiliate payouts are most commonly structured as:
CPS (cost per sale): typically, 5% to 30% commission
CPA (Cost per action): flat payouts for leads or sign-ups
Recurring commissions: standard in subscription and SaaS models
To evaluate performance, you should aim for a revenue-to-cost ratio of at least four to five times, supported by transparent payout rules and reliable tracking, to maintain profitability and long-term trust.
