This company sent a driver to our store for a oil change. We have not received a payment as we have tried to contact the company multiple time by email and different phone numbers. This has been been 2 weeks. Next step we will have to file a report with the police.

**Updated 3/17/21- A week after submitting this review I was contacted by Richard Stuart, Vice President/Security Practice Manager. We discussed the situation below and he offered to decrease the 4 hour minimum ($476) to 1 hour ($119); so that was nice. Do I think this review prompted the outreach? Probably. Will I continue to use VisionTech? No. As I appreciate the effort to rectify the situation, given the numerous unsatisfactory experiences with VisionTech, I do not recommend their services.Worst company ever. In property management, we utilized Vision Technologies for our CCTV and remote access installs/repairs. Multiple calls are always required because majority of their technicians are not adequately trained, which untimely results in additional expenses billed back to the property. We were literally charged $476 (a 4 hour minimum) for a technician to come onsite, for TEN MINUTES, and take a few photos to troubleshoot a repair. In result of the outrageous proposal, we did not proceed with the repair, however what they failed to disclose is that the 4 hour minimum would be required even in the event we did not proceed with the repair. To say the lease, Vision Technologies at very least, lacks any form of common courtesy. We highly recommend Easter's Lock & Security Solutions or anyone but Vision Technologies.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a cloud consulting agency?

A cloud consulting agency is a specialized firm that guides businesses in maximizing the benefits of cloud computing technologies. It lends expertise in platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to help clients adopt and scale the most suitable technology for their needs.

Additionally, a cloud consulting company helps organizations improve and manage existing cloud systems. It achieves this by identifying and resolving roadblocks, optimizing costs, upgrading technologies, and providing employee training.

How does a cloud consulting agency help businesses optimize their infrastructure and operations?

A cloud consulting agency helps businesses optimize their infrastructure and operations through a structured process. The steps involve analyzing the client’s IT infrastructure, business needs, and goals. Next, it develops a custom strategy and chooses the tech stack based on these factors.

It also designs the architecture, migrates existing systems and data to the cloud, and ensures security and compliance. Finally, it reviews the ongoing performance of the new cloud system and makes adjustments to improve usability, function, efficiency, and costs.

Which businesses benefit most from cloud consulting services?

With 98% of organizations using cloud computing, all types of businesses can benefit from cloud consulting services. A cloud consulting company can help streamline systems, achieve cost savings, enhance security and compliance measures, and ensure a single source of truth for higher data accuracy.

PWC reports that 74% of top cloud computing adopters saw increased profitability, 69% experienced higher customer satisfaction and product innovation, and 59% found new revenue streams.

  • Cloud assessment
  • Custom roadmap development
  • Cloud migration
  • Cloud infrastructure management
  • Regulatory compliance and security
  • Cloud training
  • Managed services and ongoing support

How much do cloud consulting services cost in 2025?

In 2025, cloud consulting services range from $50 to $250 per hour, depending on the project scope and complexity, cloud service type, tech stack, industry regulations, and agency location and expertise. Additionally, factors like storage capacity, data volume, network capacity, CPU configuration, and level of ongoing support can impact your final bill.

For enterprises with over 1,000 employees, you can expect to spend $2.4 million to $6 million annually. On the other hand, small and medium businesses pay about $600,000 to $1.2 million annually for their cloud systems.

How long does it usually take to see measurable results from cloud initiatives?

It can take 6-24 months to see measurable results from cloud initiatives, depending on your objectives, system complexity, employee adoption rates, and technical maturity.

For instance, a business can immediately experience faster data access, better internal communication, more efficient workflows, and higher employee productivity. After a year, it can experience benefits like high return on investment, stronger security posture, and better customer satisfaction.

What should you look for when hiring a cloud consulting partner?

When hiring a cloud consulting partner, look for one with experience in your field and technical requirements, and who has delivered proven results. You can see this in their case studies, portfolio, client reviews, and testimonies.

Moreover, seek cloud consulting companies that are credible, transparent, responsive, and have good client services. To assess these, you can examine their list of awards and recognitions, hold interviews, and ask for client references.

What red flags should you watch for when selecting a cloud consulting agency?

Watch out for cloud consulting agencies that lack expertise on the latest cloud technologies and best practices and are unfamiliar with your industry’s regulations. Also, avoid agencies that cut corners on security and migration, provide limited post-implementation support, and don't provide a detailed milestone and pricing structure.

Another red flag is when a cloud consulting company can’t tie technical decisions to overall business strategy, as this can lead to inefficient and costly systems that can’t scale with your growing business.

What important questions should you ask before signing a cloud consulting contract?

Before signing a cloud consulting contract, consider asking these important questions:

  1. Can you share examples of similar projects you’ve worked on in our industry? — Ensures that the agency can help you resolve issues specific to your industry.
  2. What services do you offer in terms of cloud architecture, migration, and post-implementation support? — Gauges if the agency has the right technical expertise for your needs.
  3. What is your approach to cloud readiness, strategy, and roadmap development? — Details the agency’s processes, so you know what to expect when working with it.
  4. How do you define and measure success? — Assesses the agency's ability to measure the business impact of its technical decisions.
  5. How do you ensure the solution you design is future-proof and adaptable to emerging technologies? — Examines if the agency also considers long-term successes in addition to short wins.

How does cloud consulting differ from traditional IT infrastructure consulting?

Cloud consulting differs from traditional IT infrastructure consulting mainly through its technological focus. While both consulting types aim to improve aspects like efficiency, costs, scalability, and security, cloud computing mainly works with remote, internet-based servers. On the other hand, traditional IT infrastructure uses on-premises physical hardware.

That said, cloud consulting often prioritizes accessibility, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness. Meanwhile, traditional IT infrastructure consulting pays attention to control and security of the on-site IT ecosystem.

The top cloud consulting agencies use the following tools, platforms, and frameworks:

  • Hosting Providers: AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, IBM Cloud, Oracle Cloud
