Major Tom Reviews & Testimonials
Chris Palliser
Community Manager at Shift
5.0★
Web Design Review from Chris Palliser
I work with Shift (Solar & Energy Storage Installer) and I had a great experience working with Major Tom on our brand refresh and new website. Their team is knowledgable, thoughtful, supportive, and I feel they personally and genuinely want us to succeed as a business. Shout out to Nathalie! They made me feel like a priority during any request, and delivered a polished functional design and UX that feels both national and locally grounded, exactly what we asked for. Communication was strong throughout, and they were quick to find solutions when challenges came up, as they inevitably do. Thank you, Major Tom! Highly Recommend!

Digital Advertising Review from Tim Thatcher
I've worked with Major Tom for just over 10 years in varying capacities across their Paid Media and Social Media teams. I've always enjoyed very positive working relationships, and they have offered great value and strategic guidance to media campaigns. They always add valuable insights into the data and make recommendations to improve overall strategy. It's always felt like a strong strategic partnership and they seem to have a positive working culture. Would highly recommend them as a media partner.

WordPress Website Design Review from Jamie McCalman
Major Tom is a strong choice for enterprise organizations that need both strategic thinking and technical reliability. They understand the demands of a national insurance brokerage and bring the right expertise to every phase of a project.
Their workflow is structured and efficient, with seamless handoffs between design, development, and launch. Anna provides excellent account leadership. She is responsive, organized, and solutions oriented. From maintaining nearly perfect uptime to rapidly addressing security and technical issues, their team is dependable. The new website components they designed have enhanced how we communicate complex insurance information to our clients.

Constructive Reviews & Testimonials
Clea Bierman
Director of Digital Marketing at Blue Meridan Partners
5.0★
WordPress Website Design Review from Clea Bierman
Blue Meridian Partners has worked with Constructive as our website design and development partner for more than eight years. During that time, they have played a significant role in shaping our digital presence and helping bring our brand to life online. What I've appreciated most is Constructive's ability to balance creativity with stewardship. They have consistently found thoughtful ways to push our brand forward when innovation was needed, while also respecting and working intelligently within established brand guidelines. Their team understands how to translate complex ideas into engaging digital experiences. Across dozens of projects, I've worked with three different project managers, and each has been highly accountable and genuinely enjoyable to partner with. The relationships have been professional, collaborative, and built on trust. We've also had several occasions where creative projects required significant work on very tight timelines with little notice, and Constructive consistently found a way to deliver. Like any long-term partnership, navigating complex websites and evolving organizational needs requires ongoing communication and attention. What has kept us coming back year after year is Constructive's commitment to partnership, their willingness to solve problems alongside us, and the care they bring to our mission. I am grateful for their contributions to Blue Meridian's growth and would confidently recommend Constructive to organizations looking for a thoughtful, mission-driven digital agency.
Robert Espinoza
Former EVP of Policy at PHI
5.0★
Nonprofits Review from Robert Espinoza
Constructive built PHIs website back in 2017-2018 and, in many ways, they have been with the organization ever since. Over almost eight years, they've grown alongside PHI rather than simply maintaining a site. PHI is a national nonprofit working at the intersection of research, policy, and workforce interventions on the direct care workforce, and a lot of what we do is complicated. Constructive's remarkable team has had a real knack for turning that complexity into something clear, usable, and genuinely engaging online.
Some of the things I'm most proud of from our partnership like our worker story gallery, our national resource center on direct care workers, and our online index came out of that collaboration. These weren't just features; they became core parts of how we tell our story and share our work with advocates, policymakers, and practitioners.
What made Constructive stand out was how invested they were in our mission. They were creative and technically excellent, yes but more than that, they showed up as a true partner. We didn't experience them as a vendor so much as an extension of our team. I would absolutely recommend them to any nonprofit or social impact organization looking for a thoughtful, dependable digital partner.
Diana Denza, MPA
Communications Director at Center for Family Representation
5.0★
Nonprofits Review from Diana Denza, MPA
The Center for Family Representation worked with Constructive on a year-long rebranding process that overhauled our logo, colors, website, and all of our marketing collateral. As a result of this process, we now have a brand that truly represents our organization and the work we do for low-income NYC families. Constructive was highly responsive and professional throughout the process, working with us to ensure that every element of the rebranding felt just right.

Rita Dragonette
CEO at Undisclosed
5.0★
Digital Marketing Review from Rita Dragonette
I've had the pleasure of working with Motion as both colleague and client. As a colleague I was referred to them for a number of my CEO clients. The high-level coverage they were able to secure was very instrumental in significantly raising the profile of those clients and helping them attract the opportunities they were after. As a client, Motion was able to quickly and innovatively operationalize a successful social giving program to fund a scholarship I started as part of the launch for my new novel. The response was terrific for book awareness and quickly became fully funded. The agency is highly responsive, the staff skilled and engaging. Terrific client service.

6 Frequently Asked Questions About Creative Companies
What services do creative agencies offer?
Creative agencies offer services that help define how brands are perceived in the market. Core creative services include:
Market research and audience insights: Understanding target audiences, competitors, and market positioning to guide creative decisions.
Brand strategy and identity: Defining brand positioning, messaging, tone of voice, and visual identity, including logos, color palettes, and typography.
Advertising and campaign creative: Developing concepts and assets for paid media, social campaigns, email marketing, digital ads, and other promotional channels.
Content and copywriting: Writing brand messaging, campaign copy, website copy, taglines, and editorial content that support marketing goals.
Video and motion content: Producing scripts, storyboards, photography, video, animation, and editing for brand storytelling and campaigns.
Web design and digital experiences: Designing websites, landing pages, and user experiences, with some agencies also offering web development support.
Other creative services include photography, print production, experiential design, app design, and ongoing creative retainers. The exact scope depends on whether the creative firm specializes in branding, content, digital marketing, or full-service creative support.
What is the difference between a creative company and a marketing agency?
A creative company centers on how a brand looks, sounds, and feels through brand identity, messaging, design, storytelling, and creative production.
On the other hand, a marketing agency focuses on how a brand reaches its audience through campaigns, channels, and performance optimization. Here is a side-by-side comparison for clarity:
Creative Companies
Marketing Agencies
Focus
Building brand identity, consistency, and audience connection
Driving awareness, traffic, leads, conversions, and revenue
Services
Brand strategy, visual identity, graphic design, video production, website design, copy and creative development
SEO, paid media, email marketing, social media management, influencer marketing, public relations, content marketing, analytics
Output
Logos, brand systems, creative concepts, websites, videos, and campaign assets
Media plans, campaign execution, lead generation, reporting, and channel performance insights
While they are distinct disciplines, they often overlap. Many creative companies offer marketing support, and many marketing agencies include creative services as part of their packages.
How much do creative firms charge for their services?
Creative firms charge between $100-$200 per hour or $800-$8,000 per project. The final cost will depend on service type and scope, design complexity, turnaround time, and firm location.
Estimated price range by engagement model:
Hourly rate: $100-$200 per hour
Pricing tier: $2,500-$7,500 per month for small projects like social media posts and email marketing templates. However, larger, more complex projects can cost $25,000-$100,000 per month, such as global, multi-channel campaigns.
Project-based pricing: $800-$8,000 per project
Commission-based pricing: 10%-30% of the profit or sales
Approximate costs per creative service type:
Logo design: $1,000-$2,5000 per project
Comprehensive branding: $16,000-$60,000+ per project
Web design: $5,000-$200,000+ per project
Marketing collateral: $500-$2,500+ per project
How long do creative projects typically take?
Creative projects can take anywhere between 1 week and over 4 months. The actual timeline depends on the service type, production complexity, and revision cycle. Here is what to expect:
Logo design: 2-5 weeks
Comprehensive branding: 1-3 months
Graphic design: ~1 week for custom illustrations and infographics
Blog posts: 1-2 weeks, depending on word count and research complexity
Social media: 2-3 days, depending on the number of platforms, level of customization, and asset volume
Email campaigns: 1-2 weeks, depending on design complexity and number of variations
Video content: 2-8 weeks, depending on video length, production quality, talent availability, and post-production requirements
Integrated campaigns: 4-8 weeks
When should you hire a creative agency, and when should you keep it in-house?
The answer depends on your goals, budget, timeline, and internal capabilities.
Consider hiring a creative agency if:
You need to launch or refresh a brand, product, or campaign quickly, but lack internal expertise or bandwidth.
Creative work is pulling your team away from core business priorities.
You need specialized skills, such as branding, video production, campaign concepting, or web design.
You are planning a large, multi-channel, or multi-market campaign that your internal team cannot support alone.
You want an outside perspective or fresh creative direction.
Keep creative projects in-house if:
The work is routine, low in complexity, or recurring, such as templated social posts, simple presentations, or basic collateral updates.
You already have a trusted internal team with the right design, content, or marketing capabilities.
The work requires close day-to-day collaboration and fast turnaround across departments.
Your product, audience, or market is highly specialized, and success depends on deep internal knowledge.
