Peak Performers promotes itself as an agency that prioritizes placing people with disabilities into state jobs. That mission is exactly why I took the call when one of their recruiters reached out to me. I’m a social worker with years of frontline case management experience, and the role they contacted me about aligned well with my background.The hiring process that followed was deeply disappointing.After applying and preparing for the interview, I discovered that Peak Performers had also recruited another candidate from my own office — a brand-new caseworker who knew I was applying for the same job. This is someone I had been helping train: reviewing their case notes, showing them how to approach the work, and often correcting mistakes in their documentation. While knowing we were competing for the same position, they asked me how I would approach the job, what resources I would use, and how I would handle the role. In hindsight, it created an incredibly uncomfortable and inappropriate dynamic that never should have existed in the first place.For an agency that claims to focus on placing people with disabilities, sending a non-disabled candidate from the same workplace to compete for the same role raises serious questions about how committed they actually are to that mission.The preparation for the interview was also inconsistent. I received extensive prep material with potential questions, while the other candidate reportedly received little more than a note to “arrive 15 minutes early.” Meanwhile, I had to leave a client meeting at the shelter where I work and rush across town to make the interview. Anyone balancing PTSD and ADHD knows how much extra mental bandwidth that kind of day requires.Ironically, the interview itself went well. It ran long, the panel kept asking questions, and the conversation felt thoughtful and engaged.What happened afterward was even more troubling.Once I learned that the other candidate had been hired, I contacted Peak Performers to raise concerns about the situation — specifically about recruiting two people from the same office while one had access to the other’s preparation and strategy. Their response was an email saying the situation was “under investigation,” followed by a statement that they were reviewing my eligibility for future placements — as if raising legitimate concerns somehow made me the problem.That response said everything.For an organization that publicly positions itself as an advocate for workers with disabilities, the handling of this situation felt dismissive and backwards. Instead of addressing the structural problem they created, the tone of the response suggested the issue was the person who spoke up.In the end, the experience felt careless, poorly managed, and completely disconnected from the mission they claim to represent. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Peak Performers to anyone expecting professionalism or genuine advocacy for people with disabilities. "Paul King's Review Sourced from Google
I feel so blessed to have encountered peak performers several years ago! I have only 100% positive interactions. If you aren’t sure you should work with them let this be your sign too. Not only has peak performers provided me the best work opportunities, they have continued to re engage me for new positions when one ends. Sadly some recruiters at different staffing agencies might ghost you if you fail to secure a position you interviewed for, but not peak performers! They really are rooting for you and afford you multiple chances for different roles as they come along. Jeyli was responsible for securing my new role and she was so pleasant and supportive! I'm doubling down on review to say that PeakPerformers does not care about helping individuals with disabilities find potential jobs. In my 2 months of being registered in their systems, I have been ghosted by one recruiter and only been reached out to when I left my first negative review, to tell me I should stop trying to apply to the jobs on their site because I don't have qualifications for them, and that they have no jobs, because I don't qualify for them because of lack of degree and experience.They are grifters who use the disabled community to make themselves sound better, they do not care about reaching out about potential jobs or even updating their job databases. You will often see the same jobs posted for weeks at a time, and only about 8 jobs at a time. Non of which most people with disabilities are going to qualify for. The jobs they have on their site are intermediate to high experience state level jobs like engineer, senior project developer, net developers etc.I would only suggest working with PeakPerformers if you have high state level experience, otherwise if you are disabled and just need something to help you get ahead, they will be of no use to you, and do nothing but tell you they can't help you. Even if you qualify for the jobs they keep posted, I wouldn't suggest using them, because they don't provide any sort of accommodations to disabled people or priority. You can do better finding those types of jobs on your own, without the unreliable middleman that is PeakPerformers.These people are grifters, who use disabled people to help themselves look better. They should be ashamed of themselves, I know they aren't, but they definitely should be. They've literally been no help to me. If you are a disabled individual who is seeking a place in this hard and grueling job market, you deserve better than PeakPerformers, I would suggest TWC.Edit: I don't know how they do it, but they are actively hiding my negative review to protect their grift.
