Coffeys Tourism Property Brokers, the only firm in New Zealand dealing with tourism property, wanted to update its visual identity while still maintaining its roots. Activate Design delivered a logo that blends heritage with modernity, preserving elements from the older version while revitalizing it for today’s market.
The logo’s focal point is a minimalist dusk illustration featuring a mountain silhouette cut over a golden circle. It features dual imagery: the iconic New Zealand landscape with its sun rising over mountains and the concept of investment resembling an ascending graph.
The agency crafted a custom, modern typeface to infuse the layout with boldness and straightforwardness. Redesigning the typography from scratch ensured the logo felt fresh and memorable, moving away from the dated details of the past.
Lastly, the curved serifs on the letters C and Y are taken from the older design as an efficient nod to New Zealand’s heritage. These spiral koru shapes, inspired by the unfurling native silver fern frond, further ground the brand in its geographical roots.
