Standout Features:
- Iconic lighthouse illustration
- Label design with storytelling elements
- Vintage-inspired aesthetic
Carras&Co, a family-run craft brewery, sought a label design that could capture the essence of its signature beer, Farolezza. Tasked with bringing this Mediterranean-Sierra Nevada fusion to life, designer Samu Diaz crafted a packaging concept that seamlessly blends tradition, storytelling, and contemporary craftsmanship.
At the heart of the design is a striking illustration of a lighthouse, a visual metaphor for guidance, legacy, and the coastal roots of the brand. The lighthouse, paired with an arched label frame and intricate detailing, evokes a vintage feel reminiscent of classic European beer labels, reinforcing the beer’s artisanal quality.

One of the most distinctive features of the packaging is its label. This element adds a premium touch and serves as a storytelling canvas, highlighting its dual inspiration from land and sea. The text placement and structured hierarchy ensure that the story is accessible while maintaining an elegant, uncluttered look.

The color palette — earthy browns, soft blues, and deep greens — further enhances the sense of place, drawing from the natural landscapes of Andalucía. Paired with refined typography and vintage flourishes, the overall aesthetic feels both nostalgic and fresh, appealing to craft beer enthusiasts who appreciate authenticity and design.
Samu Diaz’s work on Farolezza’s food and beverage packaging achieves a perfect balance between cultural homage and modern appeal. It transforms a simple beer label into a rich visual experience, elevating Carras&Co’s identity and inviting consumers to discover the story behind each bottle.
