OK, heads up, this is a long review. For those of you who don't have the time to read this:Citrusbits is the best iPhone app development company you'll find in Los Angeles. They were friendly, creative, professional and methodical in their procedures. These guys are the real deal.I began my app development working with an overseas team I found on freelancer. I thought the language barrier wouldn't be a big issue but I was wrong... way wrong. The final product I received from these guys was downright awful. Did it complete the functions I wanted it to? Yes. Was I eager to show it off? Definitely, no.I decided that if I was serious about my idea, I would need to work with a professional mobile app developer close to me in Los Angeles. I called numerous places, sat down with multiple companies and finally found my home with Citrusbits. Most companies felt a bit cold and robotic but Citrusbits seemed to just get it. They took the time to absorb my idea and gave me some great feedback right off the bat. I really felt they were on my same wavelength.Once I signed the contract, things were moving quickly. The difference between working with a team overseas and working with Citrusbits right here in Los Angeles was clear right away. I had no idea how much detail went into just the planning of an application. They came up with so many additional points and details that I didn't even think of. I knew I picked the right team.Design was the most fun for me. I had multiple options to choose from. Each completely different in terms of colors, icons, font and overall feel. They literally took the idea out of my mind and transformed it into something tangible. I could see my dream becoming a reality.Programming was a breeze. I tested each release with the team in Los Angeles. Working out the bugs was never tedious, always fun. I really felt as though I was part of the team, not just a client.Everything went so smoothly. We've started development on version 2.0 of the application now. I'm happy to call Citrusbits my very own Los Angeles development company.

I don't recommend this company. Mark Slater is hardly ever available. No one else in the office knows his whereabouts. He's nice enough in person, but good luck reaching him. It's been 90 days (and counting) since he signed a contract saying a product would be complete in 30 days. He cashed the initial deposit check after weeks of having it in his possession. Poor customer service, hasn't delivered on his promise. And really don't know his competency because there is a minimal online presence. Unfortunately, this seems to be another case of a hack job offering services that can't be delivered a.k.a. SCAM!
