To showcase the top big data companies in the United States, our team of 12 industry analysts evaluated each listing using five ranking criteria and insights from over 827 verified client reviews, transforming complex data into actionable insights.

Words cannot truly express how pleased I am with the Digital Success Advantage team! They are fantastic to work with, and you do not remotely feel like a client, more like a valued member of their team. They don't just partner with you for the project, and then forget about you like you most companies out there. Their website designs are top notch, you are wasting your money if you go with anyone else! I look forward to our continued business partnership, and allowing them to help me take my business to the next level!

TDF provided us with product management, development, and strategic consultation. We started to build the product with an individual and had initial wireframes and mock-ups, but the project quickly grew larger than an individual person could handle. TDF evaluated what we had and gave us feedback, then created a plan to replace and fix what had already been done. They started with extensive customer development-- something we missed the first time around-- so their new wireframes and plans were based on what our customers actually wanted. Then, they executed the plan.In addition to the development work, they also took care of logo and design work. They used Amazon Web Services for our platform. We have multiple features such as an API, database, and an administration tool for our own interface. We have a provider tool for facilities to update their data within the database. People can find resources on our web page, web application, and an iOS and Android app. We continue to work with them and have found it more effective and efficient to use them as a virtual outsourced department.

We are a consulting firm that specializes in working with healthcare organizations who are seeking to become accredited, stay accredited, or are working with particular healthcare legal compliance issues that we specialize in. The management of a typical accreditation process is complex for both the applicants and consultants providing them with help, so we wanted technology to help simplify and clarify that process. The Development Factory developed and designed two important pieces of software for us that have gone through multiple iterations over the years. The most important is an online project management platform that has all of our resources in one place and allows us to have secure communications with our clients and exchange documents and feedback important to the accreditation process. The platform also provides dashboards for our clients that allow clients to track their process and see how they're doing based on our scoring system that scores any documentation that will be sent to accreditation organizations. The second piece of software TDF built is a training program called AccrediTrain. We had a training software before, but they built a new self-service version that is completely automated, allowing a client to schedule a training for their employees without having to involve any of my staff. As a result of the work TDF did for our firm, we are now able to handle a larger number of clients with the same number of staff, helping us to increase our revenues by a factor of four.Beyond that, the reactions to our platforms have been outstanding. Just recently a new client was having her first experience with Goldfinch and she said it was just amazing. Another client of ours is a competitor and asked us for help on a project. This is an organization that has a particularly sophisticated knowledge about the accreditation process, and their CEO and president was very impressed by our software platforms. They really listened to our description of what we do and how we do it and then turned that into software that quite beautifully captures what we do and how we do it. They clearly care about us and our satisfaction.

I will give a negative 5 if there is an option available!!! They are literally time wasting team and provide all fake information until they get the resume and after that no response and even if you follw-up, they say there are better candidates with low rate and not considered your resume. I think they take the content from the resumes collected and prepare another resume from their pool of resources to submit to customer.. Very very very unprofessional and unethical recruiting team.. they wasted lot of my time and were quiet without saying anything..Do not entertain any of the emails or calls from these guys.

What services do big data analytics companies provide?

They provide services that turn structured and unstructured data into decision-making insights, including:

  • Data strategy & consulting: Defining business goals, identifying data sources, and planning analytics implementation.
  • Data warehousing & integration: Centralizing data from multiple sources for consistent, accessible analysis.
  • Business intelligence (BI) & reporting: Providing dashboards, reports, and KPIs that translate raw data into insights.
  • Prescriptive & predictive analytics: Using statistical models and machine learning to forecast trends and guide optimal decisions. 55% of organizations use ML and AI in their analytics processes.
  • Data visualization: Interactive charts and graphs simplify complex datasets, with over 39% of market revenue coming from this segment.
  • Data governance & compliance: Ensure data accuracy, privacy, and regulatory adherence, reducing data breaches by 50% and fraud by 40%, saving an estimated $10 billion annually.
  • ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) services: Automate data collection, transformation, and migration

How much do big data companies in the US charge?

Their hourly rates range from $80–$350, depending on expertise and project scope:

  • Entry-level analysts: $80–$100/hr
  • Mid-level consultants: $100–$170/hr
  • Senior data science experts: $200/hr

Project-based pricing models, based on our data:

  • Basic analytics/reporting: $5,000 – $10,000 base rate + $1,000 – $3,000/mo retainer
  • Mid-sized predictive projects: $25,000 – $50,000 base rate + $3,000 – $5,000/mo retainer
  • Enterprise big data solutions: Over $50,000

Factors affecting pricing:

  • Project complexity (real-time analytics, ML models cost more)
  • Team seniority and expertise
  • Data volume and infrastructure requirements
  • Tools and tech stack (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake)
  • Engagement length (long-term contracts may reduce hourly cost)
  • Location and sourcing (U.S.-based firms typically charge more than offshore)

How long does it take to see results from big data campaigns?

Most campaigns show early results within the first few months, while long-term initiatives deliver the greatest value as insights compound over time.

Timeline to ResultsTypical DurationWhat Can You Expect
Immediate wins1-3 monthsData extraction, dashboards, automated reports, and early AI integrations
Measurable insights4-12 monthsAdvanced analysis, model refinement, and insights that begin influencing strategic decisions.
Long-term impact12+ monthsContinuous optimization and compounding ROI from large-scale big data programs and enterprise analytics initiatives.

What industries do big data analytics companies serve in the US?

They mostly serve the following industries:

  • Healthcare: Personalizes treatments, reduces readmissions, and improves efficiency. The U.S. healthcare analytics market is projected to reach $79.23B by 2028 (CAGR 28.9%)
  • Financial Services: Supports fraud detection, risk scoring, compliance, and personalized offerings. Over 91% of financial firms use analytics, representing 32% of the global market.
  • Retail & eCommerce: Optimizes pricing, predicts demand, and personalizes marketing. Companies using advanced analytics see 5–6% higher sales and profit growth
  • Manufacturing & Supply Chain: Enables predictive maintenance, inventory optimization, and process automation.
  • Telecommunications: Manages network traffic, reduces churn, and improves targeting. The telecom analytics market is expected to reach $155B by 2032 (50%+ CAGR).
  • Media and Entertainment: Streaming and gaming companies use big data to personalize content, optimize recommendations, and increase viewer engagement. Netflix, for example, uses analytics to guide viewing and save ~$1B annually.

How are big data analytics services different from traditional business intelligence (BI)?

  • Traditional BI focuses on reporting and dashboards built from historical, structured data. They help businesses track performance and understand what has already happened.
  • Big data companies handle much larger and more complex datasets, including unstructured and real-time data. It is used to identify patterns, predict outcomes, and support advanced decision-making.

Simply put, BI looks at past performance, while big data analytics focuses on scale, complexity, and future insights.
