Mixed experience — excellent engineer, disappointing after-serviceWe paid $1,800 before GST upfront for the company to investigate and attempt recovery of files affected by ransomware. If the important data had been successfully recovered without compromising the company’s operations, I would consider the fee well worth every single cent.I would like to commend Karan, the engineer, for his professionalism, technical service, and individual commitment. His service was the positive aspect of the entire experience.Unfortunately, my experience with the company’s after-service follow-up and overall team response was extremely disappointing. The communication and follow-up were perturbing and fell significantly short of what I would expect after paying such a substantial upfront fee for a critical data-recovery service.While I have no complaints about Karan as an individual, the company’s overall after-sales service would receive 1/10 from me if there were a scoring system.For a service involving potentially critical company data and a significant upfront payment, I would expect much better communication, follow-up, accountability, and customer support after the initial technical work.
