My first experience with 4Design was working with Lee and Robbie on the Solarscan Melanoma Detection system for Polartechnics in the early 2000s. They converted a really bulky and frankly awfully designed prototype system into a sleek device suitable for manufacture and use in a Doctor's office. When I took over responsibility for product development and design at Emotiv I worked closely with Lee to spin our EPOC EEG wireless gaming headset into a fantastic, affordable user-friendly product which, after several model upgrades, continues to dominate the worldwide consumer and scientific EEG markets worldwide. 4Design have been a critical part of our success and were instrumental in bringing our full range of products to market, including Emotiv Insight (5-channel wireless pro-sumer EEG), Emotiv Flex (32-channel wireless research EEG) and MN8, integrating ear canal EEG measurement with wireless Bluetooth headphones. 4Design's attention to detail, focus on manufacturability, and willingness to work with us to evolve our designs has been an important part of our journey to deliver affordable wireless EEG systems worldwide, enabling researchers anywhere to access research-quality EEG devices for 10-100x less cost, 50x less set-up time and the ability for untrained end users to self-fit the devices and obtain high quality signals in the most challenging environments. I’m disappointed with my experience dealing with QAgency, particularly around communication and transparency regarding fees. I was already paying for an existing web hosting service while also being charged their separate website hosting/maintenance fee. As someone who is not very IT or social media savvy I feel this should have been clearly explained to me from the beginning.When I reached out to ask for clarification around the charges and services being provided, I struggled to get a response. Unfortunately the lack of communication and follow up left me feeling frustrated and unsupported.
