For Ibn Tofail University, Morocco’s standout public campus, Mos’Art was tasked with a modern identity refresh that could convey its growing image on a national scale.
At the center of the design is a bespoke, abstracted monogram that draws from Arabic calligraphy.
Composed with sinuous curves and a strong vertical balance, the symbol appears to be a stylized interpretation of the Arabic letter “Ø·” (Ta), a reference to “Tofail.”
Rather than defaulting to generic icons, this symbol cleverly distills the aesthetic DNA of Islamic calligraphy into a contemporary brand mark.
You'll see that the logo has a bilingual typographic system. The name is written in both Arabic and Latin scripts. A modern sans-serif font is used for both, which creates a very clean and cohesive look.
This bilingual approach affirms the institution’s multilingual and multicultural positioning on both a local and a global stage. This helps to enhance accessibility for prospective students.
Additionally, the deep blue color is a great choice for an educational institution. This aligns with broad consumer sentiment, as A 2025 Adobe Express survey found that 54% of consumers identify blue as the most trusted brand color.
This education logo design proves that a logo doesn't need complex imagery to convey scale and prestige.
Here, the single, elegant calligraphic mark successfully represents a massive, multidisciplinary, and global university with over 85,000 students.
Logos for large institutions have a tough job: represent thousands of people and a deep history with one design.
