Salvo Cacciatori, a traditional Italian restaurant on the gorgeous Ligurian coastline, is a visually-oriented affair conceived and delivered by Innova Studio. Mostly minimalistic with its design elements consisting of white space and thin lines, the website speaks through its images.
A massive photo of a restaurant's flagship dish permeates the area above the fold. It also blends in well with the whiteness of the rest of the website. Images dominate each area of the website as the user journey continues toward the footer.
A very elegant sans-serif typeface is used in the main menu for logos and menu items. A different, sturdier type is present in the written content, while subtle animated text appears on the image above the fold. Meanwhile, the CTAs are simple squares that do not differ from the rest of the written content.
The mega menu opens from the top left corner and features even more close-up photos of dishes on the left and key links on the right.
