  Blocked my work email from all Proofpoint clients because of some kind of billing issue related to when we were previously their customer. Clients whitelisted me but it didn't work or worse, it worked intermittently.I was not notified why my work email was blocked, when I reached out to Proofpoint I was told there was nothing they could do because I'm not a current customer.In short, horrible customer service costing the company I work for and my clients hundreds of dollars in unnecessary troubleshooting time.My clients are paying for a spam filter, they shouldn't have to get involved in other companies billing issues.

  Proof Point is a decent software company with a chance to be good but I would not buy in yet. We did and regret it. They are a company, as many are, that are formed from different companies with different areas of expertise. But, it SEEMS like a company that is actually several companies and none of which are well integrated. Support is just terrible. You can do your own homework on why that is the case. I'd lean heavily toward some of the more grounded and solid alternatives.

  I am a travel nurse and was staying at a hotel close to this business. Whenever I would walk my dog on the public street the Proofpoint is on, their security would harass me. They thought I was from the homeless shelter down the street (maybe because I'm Black?). I reached out to the business on FB. They read my message but never replied.
