Software Development Review from Jake Mackay

For quite a long time we took orders by e-mail or personally from customers. It took a lot of time, as we either made layouts by hand or printed them according to the vague requirements of clients. All these difficulties have pushed us to take a step towards the digital transformation of our business. The team of Five Jars has developed a frontend and backend for our web tool to create print layouts. The team is not afraid to take on difficult tasks!

      Responsive Review from Anthony North

I was looking for companies that had experience with large educational platforms. There are some really big players in the eLearning market in Five Jars' portfolio, so I trusted their development experience. After all our platform has become more attractive to users. Over the past year, we have noticed a significant increase in daily visits, so much so that we even had to change hosting. Five Jars helped us with that too!

Small Business Review from Colin Knox

I'm satisfied with the MVP we've done with the Five Jars team. I am currently looking for an investor for this project. I love working with professionals when I don't have to dive into a whole area that I don't know. Working with the Five Jars was a real partnership where the other side fulfilled their obligations without my constant checks.

They meet our needs with a quick response. They're willing to work with us and handle issues. The quality of work is decent. Our IT director mentioned that Maxiom Technology is competitively priced compared to other vendors. The team gives a reasonable deadline at the outset of projects and usually sticks to it. We communicate via email and phone. Their response time and communication are impressive. Be honest with what you're looking for. Maxiom will be responsive and willing to investigate your needs. The team may offer solutions you might not have thought about before.

Software Development Review from Andrew Meiners

Maxiom Technology has been working with Truth Quotient LLC on program managment in quantifying the scope of work of the Maxiom Technology developer. The Maxiom Technology developer has been working with us every day over the last 8 months or so on developing a custom software tool. They have delivered the product to us and we are in sales at this point. We are continuing to refine and develop the software daily.

Web Development Review from Laura Cole

Maxiom Technology has been designing and building a new website from scratch. We started the project with a robust discovery phase, where the team queried us about our design and branding goals for the site. They provided us with a site map of our existing website, which we used to inform the new structure. The team also pushed us to determine what we wanted out of a content refresh, so I ran several internal discussions with our team and relayed feedback to Maxiom Technology. We had our own brand standards, but we didn't have any specific requests for the design. We just wanted Maxiom Technology to standardize each department page and develop template themes for other pages. The team worked iteratively to design templates for each page using Figma. They also designed different navigation options for mobile and desktop. We wanted to enable user acceptance testing (UAT), so they built clickable, high-fidelity prototypes. They also updated our websites backend to facilitate communication with our servers. Now, they;re rebuilding our content editor to help us update the site while adhering to our brand. Soon, they'll start developing the website using DotNetNuke (DNN), an open-source platform.

Loving the USB Network Gate! Simple setup, easy to use, had it up and running in minutes. My partner and I have our computers in the same room (Windows 11 on mine, Windows 10 on hers), and it doesn't make sense to have duplicates of every device, or to constantly be swapping cables around... but not all devices readily lend themselves to sharing. With two copies of USB Network Gate, I can share the scanner from her computer, the label printer from my computer, and more! I haven't fully experimented with all the capabilities yet, but the scanner and label printer work flawlessly. I'd previously used a Remote TWAIN product and it worked fine for years, but it's not playing well with newer software so I went hunting and found this. The great thing is, the scanner is an ancient but reliable CanoScan LiDE 70... I was afraid we might have to bite the bullet and buy some new, networked multifunction abomination along with its bloated software to get equivalent shared scanning functionality. Now with USB Network Gate, the scanner just shows up in my applications just like it'd been plugged into my own computer, through native WIA support. My partner still has to install the label maker software to use my Brother QL-700 label printer, but that's just a limitation of the label printer (she'd have to do that if it were plugged directly in). She can design labels to her heart's content, hit print, and I can pick them up on my desk and pass them over to her... easy peasy! At first blush it might feel a little pricey for personal use like this, but considering how often we find ourselves scanning and printing for one another, if this lasts us 5-10 years, it's really not that much! Furthermore, their support is responsive; they confirmed that the Lifetime Upgrade guarantee will continue to support future versions of Windows (it currently works fine on both Windows 10 & Windows 11), and they will also support transferring of licenses to new systems when it's time to upgrade hardware. I haven't fully explored it yet, but it looks like the sky's the limit, sharing cameras, audio devices, whatever. I don't necessarily have use cases for all of this, but it gets me thinking! Heck I just got another idea from another review here... I have a BSD-based router; my desktop is near it, but if I shared the (USB to )serial console device, I could remote directly into the console from other devices! This is an amazing idea!

I’ve had the opportunity to test various serial port monitoring tools, and I can confidently say that Electronic Team offers the best solution I’ve ever used. Their Serial Port Monitor is an incredibly powerful and reliable tool that makes working with COM ports effortless. I’m currently using Serial Port Monitor, and it works flawlessly. It provides real-time monitoring, advanced filtering, and comprehensive logging, making it an essential tool for debugging and analyzing serial communication. Whether you’re dealing with RS232, RS485, or RS422, this software ensures seamless and efficient monitoring. What truly sets Electronic Team apart is their attention to detail, stability, and the rich feature set of their software. The interface is intuitive, yet packed with advanced options for professionals who need deep insights into their serial connections. If you need a high-quality, reliable, and feature-rich serial port monitoring tool, this is the best choice available. Highly recommended!
