We brought on Omnilab Enterprise Solutions Ltd. to help move our old software to the cloud. The big goal was to do it smoothly with no service interruptions. We also wanted the old code cleaned up so it’d run faster and be easier to maintain (cheaper too). Omnilab handled the whole migration start to finish, sticking to the plan the whole way. At the start, they did a deep dive into the tech, mapping out what steps we’d need and where improvements could be made. Then, they moved everything to the cloud and upgraded the code for better speed and reliability. They even went beyond what we originally asked and took on a big API project for one of our clients, using what they learned from our system to make that project better too.

Mobile App Development Review from Qasar Younis
so we needed a mobile app done real quick, and another company had started it but we weren’t happy. Omnilab Enterprise Solutions stepped in, picked it up, made it better, and finished it. they did like 90% or more of the work. we got it done under budget and faster than expected, which was awesome. users are loving the app too, so it turned out exactly how we wanted. eW mostly talk through Slack and have Zoom calls every week. if needed, we hop on a phone call. they’re a smaller company but they do high-quality stuff, which means we get really good service without dealing with a giant company. also, their designer is super good and they actually deliver on time, which is rare cause most companies always miss deadlines.

7 Frequently Asked Questions About Staff Augmentation Companies
What services do staff augmentation firms typically provide?
Staff augmentation firms provide a range of talent solutions depending on their area of specialization. Here are some of the most common staff augmentation services:
IT staff augmentation: UI/UX designers, software developers, mobile app developers, data analysts, QA testers, cybersecurity specialists, and DevOps engineers
Finance and accounting staffing: Bookkeepers, accountants, financial analysts, and compliance professionals
Creative and marketing staffing: Content writers, graphic designers, social media managers, and performance marketers
Manufacturing and operations staffing: Industrial engineers, quality control inspectors, and supply chain analysts
Some staff augmentation services also cover strategy consulting or fractional leadership support, such as CFOs, CTOs, or senior operations and manufacturing consultants.
What is the difference between staff augmentation and outsourcing?
Staff augmentation involves temporarily hiring external skilled professionals to expand your internal team's capacity. These professionals work alongside your in-house staff, follow your processes, and are managed directly by your team.
Because of this team augmentation, you have more direct control over day-to-day execution, workflows, and priorities while scaling faster.
Outsourcing, by contrast, involves hiring an external vendor to handle an entire project or business function. In this model, the vendor usually manages the team, processes, and delivery, while your company oversees results and business goals.
Outsourcing is often a better fit for clearly defined projects or ongoing functions. For example, a company might outsource mobile app development for a food delivery solution to an external custom software development company.
In short, staff augmentation scales your team, while outsourcing scales your operations as a whole.
What is the difference between staff augmentation and managed services?
Staff augmentation entails hiring external professionals to fill a skill gap or expand internal team capacity in areas such as your engineering team, marketing team, or HR department. These skilled professionals work as an extension of your dedicated team and follow your company's processes, tools, and management structure.
On the other hand, managed services involve outsourcing a specific function to a third-party provider that is responsible for delivering and managing that service. This model is especially common in IT, where a provider might take ownership of functions such as cybersecurity, custom software development, or help desk support using its own processes, tools, and service standards.
The key difference is control: with staff augmentation, you manage the people; with managed services, the provider manages the function.
When should you hire a staff augmentation company instead of a full-time employee?
The right choice depends on your hiring timeline, budget, need for specialized skills, and whether the role is temporary or long-term.
Consider hiring a staff augmentation company if:
You need to scale your team quickly based on seasonal demand, project spikes, or changing workloads.
You need specialized expertise that is not available in-house or is difficult to hire locally.
You want more staffing flexibility without making a long-term hiring commitment.
You need support for a defined project or short- to mid-term initiative.
Consider hiring a full-time employee if:
You need someone in a permanent role with long-term ownership and continuity.
The role requires deep knowledge of your brand, internal culture, or business context.
The position involves highly sensitive responsibilities that require close internal oversight.
How long does the typical onboarding process take for augmented staff?
Typically, the onboarding process for augmented staff takes 90 days. However, some companies offer 14 days, while others may require 6 months.
The actual timeline will depend on the role, level of seniority, and complexity of your systems and processes.
In many cases, initial onboarding can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. However, full ramp-up may take longer, especially for highly specialized or leadership roles.
For instance, a junior bookkeeper may only need 7-14 days for onboarding. By contrast, a senior finance consultant or CFO-level advisor working with proprietary systems and cross-functional processes may need several weeks or even a few months to fully ramp up.
