Oversight of our databases have always been a challenge. Finding the skillset to properly administer the systems is both difficult to find and high priced for a mid-sized organization. We reached out to Emergent to find out more about their virtual dba services. Their services sounded to be exactly what we needed. That was over 4 years ago. Since then we found Emergent to be a key partner in helping us in administration of our databases. Our systems are highly efficient, highly available and we feel secure knowing they are under the oversight of some amazingly skilled engineers.

I looked into different solutions for Analytics & dashboards for our organization to help senior leadership make informed decisions based on dispersed data we harness in various systems. Being a Microsoft shop, narrowed the choice down to Power BI as a tool to design key dashboards. After talking to different vendors to assist us with this project, we decided to work with Whitecap. It was the best decision I made. Daryl Yanga was assigned to work with us on this project. Daryl & my team had several meetings with the key stakeholders to understand requirements for this project and narrowed down the key KPIs for the 2 dashboards. Having technical expertise inhouse, my team designed the data model and back-end data structure, while working very closely with Daryl on key deliverables. Using Agile practices & keeping the stakeholders involved at every major milestone, the dashboards were delivered on time and within budget. Also, as per agreement knowledge transfer was done to my technical team to help us support ongoing development & maintenance. Although continuing development and maintenance is done inhouse, we still have an ongoing relationship with Whitecap to work on any future projects and/or for any assistance required. I would highly recommend Whitecap!
