Cuddly Skin is an all-natural cosmetic brand with an exceptional reputation stemming from the premium quality of its products. The brand’s Moisturizing Cream is an addition to its catalog that must be represented through the packaging design.
And Brity Creative did a fantastic job depicting all the virtues integrated into Cuddly Skin’s brand positioning while catering to the needs of the predominantly female target audience. The design is smooth and relaxing, indicative of the product it represents.
The minimalistic yet distinctive packaging design incorporates simple illustrations of natural elements with a gold-like yellow background, developing a relaxing atmosphere. The design’s main star is an illustrated branch full of Ginkgo leaves – which is the primary extraction component of the product.
The packaging design emphasizes the natural origins of the product. Decorated only with a delicate note where orange meets yellow and the minimalistic depiction of the Ginkgo leaves, the design gives a sense of serenity and relaxes the eyes and the mind.
Harvest Gold is the sole color of the packaging design, which helps convey the product’s natural origin and high quality – the Ginkgo-based moisturizing cream is liquid gold for your delicate hands.
The color choice also complements the cardboard-like material the box is made of, subtly indicating the brand’s care for the environment through recyclable materials.
The sole element that stands out on the clean packaging design is the main ingredient used for the product. The top half of the packaging design features the ginkgo plant, depicted in two variations.
The hand cream tube showcases two Ginkgo leaves in a free-fall motion. And on the box packaging design, a dense Ginkgo branch depicts the buds and twigs alongside the leaves. The ornament occupies the upper half of the main panel but extends to the side panels, letting the lush nature shine as you rotate the box.
Below the soothing ornaments lies a modern, minimal iteration of the ginkgo leaf, the brand and the product name. These elements are printed in bolded black, contrasting the lenient design atmosphere, and providing balance and focus.
But that’s not the only difference between the box and tube design. The box packaging is cardboard-like and appears grainy in texture, while the tube design has a glossier finish.
The font weight cleverly differentiates the brand name from the product name. The vital information and instructions on the side panels are presented passively, letting the viewer focus on the beautiful Ginkgo illustrations.
