Packaging Design Analysis

In food and beverage packaging, I pay attention to how structure, shelf impact, hierarchy, and narrative come together to tell a brand’s story.

Yomoo’s packaging by BLC Design stands out for the way it fuses playful modern aesthetics with meaningful cultural depth, creating an identity that feels both engaging and authentic.

  • Typography: I think the rounded, approachable logotype is a strong choice that defines the brand’s personality, with mirrored letter shapes hinting at a creamy texture.
  • Color & Composition: The minimalist white background with subtle flavor accents keeps the packaging fresh. This clean approach is contemporary and instantly recognizable.
  • Cultural Motifs: Geometric illustrations of camels and yurts add a lot of narrative depth. They turn the bottle into a conversation piece. The design is grounded in authentic heritage.
  • Structure & Ergonomics: The short, curved bottle shape reinforces a feeling of comfort. It feels intuitive and is a tactile link to modern on-the-go lifestyles.

What Brands & Agencies Can Learn from Yomoo

ront, back, and side view of Yomoo by BLC Design.

This project offers a strong blueprint for any food brand aiming for a global audience.

1. Weave Culture into Your Design

Subtle cultural illustrations can add significant narrative depth to your packaging. They can ground a modern product in a rich heritage. This turns a simple item into a conversation piece.

2. Consider How the Package Feels

A product's packaging should be comfortable and intuitive to hold, as the physical shape can reinforce brand values like comfort and portability.

3. Use a Minimalist Base

A clean, simple background is a powerful choice. It allows key details like illustrations and flavor accents to stand out on a crowded shelf.
