If the position is not available, please do not schedule interviews, as it wastes the candidate’s time. Similarly, if you feel a resume is not suitable, kindly avoid proceeding with the interview. It seems either the recruiter has not reviewed the profile properly or the hiring manager has not given clear requirements. This reflects poorly on the recruitment process. Ideally, profiles should be screened carefully, and only those that match the role should be invited for a face-to-face interview. I hope the recruitment process improves, as currently there is no proper update or communication regarding interview.
