Software Development Review from Slava Berkovich
SapientPro consistently delivers high-quality work that aligns with project requirements. The team demonstrates strong expertise in Angular, TypeScript, and JavaScript. Their project management and communication practices are highly effective, with weekly client meetings held to provide updates on progress and ensure alignment.

Software Development Review from Jeremy Ott
This team was extremely responsive from the start. They pulled together a comprehensive quote for my MVP and have delivered on all of the requirements. The daily updates from the product/project manager are extremely helpful and it’s clear that the team cares about the quality of work they deliver. The engineers working on the product are always willing to make recommendations and go above and beyond to make the experience and underlying infrastructure that much better.

eCommerce Development Review from Luc Vlekken
We've had the pleasure of working closely with this development team on several projects, and the experience has been consistently excellent. Not only are they highly skilled developers, but they also think along with us both from a technical and a product/customer perspective. Their proactive attitude, reliability, and ability to translate complex requirements into elegant solutions make them a true partner rather than just a supplier. Highly recommended.

RGray Reviews & Testimonials

Startup Review from Helen Guzenko
Wezom is an enterprise software development company with more than 275 specialists. We brought RGray in for startup marketing and growth marketing for a FinTech SaaS platform we had built for a client, an early stage startup with a finished product and almost no market presence. RGray started with their startup marketing foundation: market and competitor research, positioning and messaging, and a growth strategy built on three prioritized hypotheses, each with its own funnel and success metrics. They then implemented the channels: SEO, GEO for visibility inside AI search and AI assistants, PR and digital media, and paid user acquisition to test the funnels fast. Analytics and attribution were in place from the start. They also built AI into the daily marketing work: a custom multi agent system using Claude, Grok, Perplexity and Gemini for research, content production and localization, handed over with workflows, prompts and checklists. Two of the three hypotheses proved out, so we elaborated those two and their funnels. CAC started at $31 and fell to $16 by the end of the test campaign, below the industry average. The campaign brought around 2,500 activated users, which boosted revenue and gave us real data for funnel, user and product analysis. The client finished with a working acquisition system and the documentation to run it, not a set of campaigns. Project management was on time and on budget: weekly calls, a shared board with owners and deadlines, monthly reporting against the strategy metrics, same day answers. When our client's roadmap moved, they resequenced the plan in days. Most impressive: they think like product owners, not like a service agency, and they challenged our ICP and pricing assumptions correctly. One improvement: the early reports were denser than we needed, and they added an executive summary once we asked.
Helen Guzenko's Review Sourced from Google
RGray is a fantastic team to work with. They really understand their clients’ customers and always come up with creative, effective solutions. Thanks to their work, we improved our SEO rankings, attracted new users, and achieved 2x growth. Highly recommend them!

The support we received from Victoria Stevens in designing our website was superb. Her patience, attention to detail, and professionalism were commendable. We were extremely pleased with the final outcome. We're happy to refer their services to anyone interested in creating or updating their website. Thank you, American Digital Agency, for a job well done!
Kelly Browning's Review Sourced from Google
As a writer, my tendency to reread, rewrite and edit is a process I feel is quite necessary to land exactly where I want to be. As it turns out, this process extends beyond my written words. Victoria was very patient and understanding with me as we collaborated to create a website that would perfectly present my vision. I am not a tech savvy individual. The same cannot be said about Victoria. Thank you so much, my friend, for a job well done!

AMERICAN GROUP CONSTRUCTION's Review Sourced from Google
We’ve had a great experience working with Peg and the team at Cogo. Their approach to SEO and digital marketing is very strategic and results-driven. They’ve improved our online visibility, brought in more qualified leads, and have always been responsive and easy to work with. Communication has been consistent, and they take the time to explain what’s working and why.
Peter Arundel's Review Sourced from Google
I've worked with Peg for several years addressing business management and strategy issues. She's a great listener, stays abreast of her rapidly evolving industry and is a wealth of knowledge in the digital marketing world. I have sent a dozen clients her way and they have all given her work rave reviews. Just look at her work and see for yourself!
Shayla Clark's Review Sourced from Google
I recently had the pleasure of working with Peg and her team to design a brand-new website for our assisted living community, and I couldn't be happier with the results! Peg completely transformed our antiquated design into a more modern, user-friendly site that still stays true to our identity. From our very first phone call, I was immediately impressed with Peg's knowledge and expertise. She even offered some fantastic future marketing tips on the fly before we had signed a contract. Throughout the project, Peg was easy to work with, open to feedback, and completely honest and direct about ideas that wouldn't work—a quality that I personally appreciate. She was also extremely responsive to my (at times) lengthy emails, addressing every concern and question promptly and thoroughly. The website turned out great, and we are thrilled with the final product. I would definitely love to work with Peg and her team again in the future. Highly recommend!

7 Frequently Asked Questions About Web Design Companies in Virginia
How do I know if an agency's portfolio reflects real results?
A portfolio only proves something if you can click through to a live site that the agency built, and see an outcome tied to it, not a static screenshot or an abandoned concept mockup. Ask which specific person on the team worked on a comparable project, since agency-wide portfolios often showcase work from someone no longer there. Request one reference from a Virginia-based client you can call directly.
It also helps to run the agency's own site and one portfolio example through Google PageSpeed Insights.
Do I own my website after a website design company in Virginia builds it?
You only own your website's code and content if your contract explicitly assigns those rights to you in writing. Under US copyright law, work created by an independent contractor doesn't automatically count as work made for hire. It only qualifies if the work fits one of nine narrow categories and both parties sign a written agreement saying so, and website design isn't one of those categories.
Without that clause, the agency offering web design services in Virginia may legally hold the rights to the site it built. Ask for a written IP assignment and get admin access to your CMS, hosting, and domain registrar under your own login before you consider the project done.
How long should a website design project take before delays become a warning sign?
Most small business website projects in Virginia run 6 to 12 weeksfrom kickoff to launch, and a project that exceeds 4 months with no clear explanation usually points to scope creep, understaffing, or a stalled team, not thoroughness.
Ask Virginia web designers for a published timeline with milestone dates at signing so you have something to measure against. Some delay is normal when a client is slow to provide content or feedback, so before assuming the agency is at fault, check who's holding up the next step.
What should I confirm before paying a deposit to an agency?
Before any money changes hands, confirm the deposit amount, the exact deliverables it covers, who will own the domain and hosting account, and what happens if either side wants to walk away. Check the company's status on Virginia's SCC Clerk's Information System so you know exactly who you're contracting with.
Ask a website design agency in Virginia whether the deposit is refundable if no meaningful work is delivered by an agreed date, and find out which platform they build on, WordPress, Webflow, Squarespace, or custom code, since that determines whether you can leave later and take your site with you.Â
How can I tell if a cheap quote from a Virginia agency is a bad deal?
A cheap quote turns into a bad deal when it excludes elements that nearly every small business site needs, including mobile optimization, basic on-page SEO, content entry, and post-launch support. The low number becomes a string of surprise invoices later. Ask shortlisted web design companies in Virginia for an itemized breakdown instead of one lump sum, so you can compare it against a full scope quote from another agency.Â
Watch for pricing built around a locked template that carries its own recurring platform fee on top of what you already paid. Lower overhead outside Northern Virginia's higher cost of living can make a quote legitimately cheaper for the same work, so the real test isn't the price. It's whether the scope is actually the same.Â
How much does a professional website cost in Virginia?
A Virginia-based web designer or small studio charges a $90 to $130 hourly rate, or $2,500 to $10,000 for a full custom small business site, according to Web Designer Academy's 2025 survey of 208 working web designers. Web designers who bill hourly charge an average of $100 an hour nationally, with a median of $92.75.
Why do web design quotes vary so much between Virginia agencies?
Quotes vary because web design companies in Virginia price their services based on team seniority, location, and process, not because one number is automatically more honest than another. A Northern Virginia shop competing for the same clients as DC-based agencies will often price closer to that market. At the same time, a firm in the Shenandoah Valley or Southside can charge less for comparable work simply because of lower overhead.
Template-based builds, offshore subcontracted labor, and bundled versus a la carte SEO or copywriting all move the number too. Compare quotes by deliverable, not by the total, so you're pricing the same scope across every bid.
