MindZip App Design Turns Repetition into an Easy and Fun Daily Habit
Let’s be honest; knowledge that’s not recurrent and repeated daily fades quickly. In fact, studies have shown that only in the first week does our brain forgets up to 70% of the newly learned material.
The ideators behind MindZip decided to flatten the so-called “curve of forgetting” by offering their expansive knowledge (!) on the art of learning in the streamlined, simple and intuitive app design, courtesy of Triare.
MindZip transcends your typical eLearning platform. It helps you internalize the key takeaways of any book, article, meaningful podcast, or seminar and apply them to your daily life. With only five minutes a day, you’ll be able not only to recall what you learned but also to master productive skills much faster and spread your thoughts in a lasting way.
MindZip’s Wide Array of Features is a Perfect Toolset for Everyone Eager to Learn
Triare created an ecosystem that includes interconnected mobile apps, a web app and a chrome extension. This tool unites content creators, publishers and users willing to subscribe to high-quality content. All of these are synced. Together, they help users focus on the importance of building and memorizing knowledge by removing all the distractions along that pursuit.
On the Study Coach screen, the ultimate goal is to give app users an overview of their daily study plan. Here, you can quickly review what you’re about to study and track your performance and interests.
Discover screen lets you explore the vast content sea from other authors and the sources they used. You can cherry-pick what piques your interest, save it to your personalized library and start learning. It’s that easy!
The rest of the app consists of basic screens like profile, the above-mentioned library, activity, chat, profile, etc.

MindZip App Design Sports a Stimulating, On-Brand Color Scheme and Sharp Typography
MindZip’s logo plays a crucial role in the app’s overall design as it seems like each visual element is its extension. The icon is simple, unique and easy to remember, which is exactly what MindZip is all about.
Just like the logo’s distinct “drop” represents learning things in small, bite-sized pieces (drop by drop until the glass is full), so does the app’s color palette stimulate your brain.
With the primary, viridian green and secondary black, the whole color scheme inspires personal growth and renewal. Another association would be “getting the green light” to go ahead in your pursuit of knowledge, giving it a connection with taking action.
The typeface relies on San Francisco sans-serif font, which looks great in all sizes and is readable and easy to absorb.
MindZip App Design Transitions to Web Seamlessly
You can’t really contain the “Tinder of Knowledge” on the app environment alone. As for the web, the agency designed an intuitive environment where users can browse the MindZip content and have the same experience as the app users.
Such versatility reflects the learning process perfectly as there’s nothing linear about it. Not to mention that catering to more users and sharing knowledge between them is a future-proof way to preserve and retain it as a community. Now that’s the effort worthy of DesignRush’s Best App Design Award!
