For Essencial Pharma, a Brazilian compounding pharmacy expanding into the premium dermocosmetic sector, designer Rafaela Terencio crafted a new visual identity. 

The brand's most defining element is its monogram: a stylized, circular lowercase "e" that has been sliced horizontally to resemble a capsule.

Inside, a 3D-rendered pill — half violet, half mint green — reinforces the pharmacy theme.

Research from Lazard et al. (2014) indicates that users generally prefer designs with low visual complexity, making this minimalist approach highly effective.

The brand’s color palette pivots around three primary tones: a rich, dark blue, a vibrant mint green, and a bright lavender violet.

These are applied across the packaging and other brand assets in clean, blocky compositions for a modern feel.

This palette reframes the brand’s tone from purely clinical to more lifestyle-driven. It still feels grounded, thanks to the dark base tone, but still trendy and fresh, which is important for skincare products.
