JADA Plant Based Mixes Packaging Design Does One Thing Perfectly - It Stands Out
Now, whether you’re a vegan, vegetarian or you’re still nourishing your carnivorous cravings, there’s no denying that plant-based meat substitutes are getting tastier in recent years.
One of them is breaking into a saturated market with a tasty new product - or rather products! Jada Brands, the creator of a vegan version of Australia’s legendary chicken salt, has now introduced a Plant-Based Lightly Seasoned Porkless Mix and a Plant-Based Chick’n Mix, both of which make home-cooking a breeze.

The packaging itself doesn’t try to look and feel modern; its outlook on the shelves simply lets you know why you absolutely need Jada Plant Based Mixes in your life.
JADA Plant Based Mixes Packaging Design’s Vibrant Color Scheme Speaks Directly to Consumers
While the ruling packaging design trends teach us that “premium” is, more often than not, perceived as minimalist and/or muted, it’s safe to say that JADA Plant Based Mixes packaging manages to capture that premium appeal by going in a totally opposite direction.
In fact, the packaging relies on conventional, albeit beautiful, imagery that puts a product in the spotlight, and frames it with a bold, inviting color palette. The result?
Somehow, the product that’s primarily catering to a specific (vegan) audience becomes something more – a desirable treat for everyone!
Working closely with Jada Brands, PKG Branding (smartly) decided that the product’s specificity mustn’t translate to exclusivity. Then “royal” deep blue, purple and gold exude appetite and highlight the brand’s 100% natural claim.
The product mixes were rolled out in two flavors (three if you count Chick’n variants) and of course, the design followed. The agency assigned each color combination to different variants to further highlight the top selection of specially curated ingredients in every pack.
Mouth-Watering Photography Pulls the Consumers’ Attention to JADA Plant Based Mixes Effortlessly
Between the carefully “cooked” branding typography and nutritive values lies a centered product photo that proudly showcases how the product looks in its final stage – right after it emerges from the stove.
Although it’s true that as consumers, we’re all kind of used to beauteous food shots that transcend reality, it seems that Jada Brands have a more candid approach, showing each meal in all its splendor without another layer of visual manipulation.
High-res, well-lit photographs showcase dishes against the white background to both maximize consumers’ cravings and simultaneously quench the growing appetite.
Although they stand quite well against the surrounding elements, said photographs are also semi-zoomed in and it’s clear that was intentional. PKG Branding wanted to communicate that every box contains more than its edges show.
Additionally, each photo is clearly visible from a distance so it’s easier to spot in the store’s aisles.
Packaging’s Custom Illustrations Exemplify the Brand’s Mission
As we continuously aim to demonstrate, quality products, striking branding and innovative design, more often than not, aren’t enough. The brand has to stand for something, especially today when modern shoppers tend to gravitate to those that share their values.
Being vegan-oriented, JADA Brands has this in the bag, however, this particular mission comes with its own set of pitfalls.
Their Plant-Based Mixes avoid every single one since the packaging design introduces playful illustrations on the side that combined with charming messaging are a pleasure to look at, i.e., they’re not preachy and/or judging.
In fact, consumers feel included, as if they’re actively helping the food brand reach the goals they’re collectively sharing.
JADA Plant Based Mixes Packaging Design Demonstrates the Guise Every Progressive Grocer Should Strive for
Terms like “non-GMO, “plant-based” and “vegan” are not just buzzwords to JADA Brands. Nor are they a point of distinction. In fact, what this packaging shows is that these designations need to be standardized and more prevalent in your typical day-to-day shopping.
They are not badges of honor, but the brand’s dedication and its pursuit of carefully sourced ingredients from high-quality local farming.
Adding the noble goal to the already splendid mix (pun intended) of appealing color scheme and striking visuals is a recipe for success.
