Extremely Disappointing Experience with Acuity Bookkeeping and Accounting Services I hired Acuity to help with bookkeeping and accounting, but the results were frustrating and unprofessional. Instead of properly categorizing transactions and providing accurate reports, almost everything was labeled as "uncategorized," making the books completely unreliable. They set up several automated apps that required me to pay extra subscription fees. None of these tools integrated correctly, and they only made the situation more confusing. Rather than helping me gain financial clarity, their system created more problems and wasted both time and money. I was hoping for experienced support and clean financial records, but what I received was a disorganized mess. I would not recommend Acuity to anyone looking for dependable accounting services.

We we're in a predicament looking at cash-basis accounting to steer our decision-making at the risk of not understanding the true performance of our business. Abby is the BEST, most-knowledgable controller and so easy to communicate with regardless of your inherent accounting knowledge. Acuity has been transformational in moving our financial statements from super lumpy, cash basis to accrual. Amidst our work together, she's been willing to work through low-level transactional work with a smile as well as offering a high-level consultative look at our business, big picture. Can't recommend her enough for your ecommerce struggles!! I found an amazing CPA! Stephanie is seriously the best - easily 5 stars! She's super quick to respond whenever I message her with questions. What I love most is how she breaks down complicated tax stuff in ways that actually make sense. When we needed to restructure our company, she walked us through everything step by step. No jargon, just clear advice. She also saved us from a total nightmare with the Florida Department of Revenue. We were completely stuck until she stepped in and sorted it all out! Honestly, Stephanie goes way beyond what you'd expect from a regular accountant. She's always looking out for us and suggesting smart moves we wouldn't have thought of. Stephanie has done my taxes for the past 2 years (personal return). She is easy to work with and the process is always smooth. Stephanie is accommodating as well and has a positive attitude. She is also very knowledgeable and has a masters degree in taxation, if I’m not mistaken. I trust her judgment completely. Good experience! Update June 2023: Steph has done my biz, personal, and trust taxes for years now. I don’t trust anyone else. She is phenomenal with her customer service, fair pricing, and attention to detail. Also she responds to you and communicates. Note that I’m very particular about who I work with and Stephanie exceeds my expectations every time. I did stray one year and went to someone else who did not do a good job and charged me double the price. That I regret and back with Taxes Tampa now!
