Capactix Business Solution explained their services and how they support small businesses. I had an onboarding call with one of their accountants, who helped me set up our financial documents and reports. They send me monthly financial reports and complete other projects as requested. They have given me access to an online accounting portal where I can view all our financial statements. They also prepare and submit our taxes and manage our payroll. Their service package also includes the preparation of my personal taxes. They have begun implementing electronic signatures on documents.Capactix Business Solutions has given me free bits of business advice, and were planning to hire them for consulting services later this year. Initially, I spoke with the owner, who connected me to the main accountant that I now stay in contact with. There is another teammate who reaches out to me with questions on occasion. We are able to make better decisions and be more mindful of our costs using the documents and reports they have set up. This visibility is especially important as the economy is softening. Their tax preparation process is smooth since they track our finances throughout the year. Its helpful to have them onboard; with their services, we dont need to manage an in-house bookkeeper.

Me, being a scared 20 something year old grieving the loss of my family, reached out to my financial advisor who told me brown edwards could help me. He notified me in advanced of the expensive cost of their services but I was more than willing to pay the price to have peace of mind and the help of experts. I called brown edwards and was transferred to Bradley P. We discussed the cost and I notified him I was more than willing to pay that price. Bradley laughed and kindly notified me that they typically only handle the “top of the top in Roanoke”and said i could be better served by a company that rhymes with “hr clock”. So, I contacted that company and guess what? The man I spoke with actually used to work for Brown Edwards! He left his position there to travel the world and Spend time with his family, And he was able to help me and my silly step up in basis concerns, at only a fraction of the cost! So I personally would love to thank Bradley for laughing in the face of a scared young woman who lost each and every one of her immediate family members, for making me cry when I was at my lowest, and recommending a different company. I have been using RKKM for years for my taxes and have been very happy with them. This year has been different. Though I had my information there on 3/3 and met with Bruce on 3/10, a month later I still have no information on my return or how much I owe. He indicated it was " probably a standard return". A phone call from me a month later revealed that they were e-mailing a question to an incorrect address. When they got no response for 2 weeks, they did not try a phone number. Someone other than Bruce was doing my return and did not have the information given to Bruce on the 10th of March. Seems their recent merger adversely effected their communications. In a week I have to mail in my return. I still do not know if I owe $6, $600 or $6000.

My bookkeeper unfortunately referred me to Anastasi, Moore & Martin, PLLC. These guys did my taxes for 3 legal entities and It has been a terrible experience for me all the way through. I have had 3 other separate accountants inform me Anastasi, Moore & Martin, PLLC have filed my taxes for 3 of my company’s incorrectly. It will cost me thousands of dollars in IRS fees to amend the mistakes these guys made.1.) Justin and Ryan do not inform you of how they are classifying your company with the IRS. In addition they DO NOT look at the secretary of state website to verify the type of legal entity you have established with the state for example they do not check who the members or managers are on the LLC or corporation, they do not check how your company is structured for example if you are a registered s-corp or c-corp, they just guess on it and try to file your taxes as fast as possible.2.) They filed my corporation as a sole proprietorship when I told them it was a corporation and it obviously is a corporation if they took 2 seconds to look on the secretary of state website and the word Inc.-Incorporated is literally at the end of my company name. Then Justin lies to me over email and states: I told them to file my corporation as a sole proprietorship-which does NOT make sense because even if I did tell them to file my c-corp as a sole proprietorship that would not be legal or ethical to file a corporation as a sole proprietorship3.) Justin and Ryan are both extremely unresponsive and when they do respond it’s with an attitude, they do not provide good customer service at all. Their secretary-Clara then sends my social security number over unsecured email to clarify if it is correct.

My Experience with SAR Professional Corporation: I hired SAR to manage my company's corporate taxes and had a one-hour introductory meeting to explore the possibility of working together. As part of the process, I signed a Letter of Engagement and paid an initial deposit of $1,000, which was stated to be non-refundable. After our meeting, I reached out with a bookkeeping question to prepare for the upcoming corporate tax work. To my surprise, I was told I would need to pay an additional $500 for a 30-minute Q&A session, which I didn’t need as I just had a clarification question related to the bookkeeping. This extra fee was unexpected, as I hadn’t been informed beforehand that asking for a question for clarification purposes would incur an additional cost. In my experience, it’s not common for accountants to charge for basic follow-up questions, especially before any substantial work has begun. While I understand the contractual terms, I felt that the $1,000 fee was disproportionate for what amounted to a standard letter and a meet-and-greet session, something that most accountants do without charging upfront. I respect the terms of the agreement, but I believe it’s important for potential clients to carefully review the non-refundable clauses and understand the full scope of what’s covered in the initial fees. In my case, I feel the situation could have been handled with more flexibility, and I share this experience to encourage others to be thorough before making any financial commitments with this business.

CSI Accounting may try to spin this by saying they offered me a new accountant or that taking onboarding fees from my account—after our relationship was terminated—was warranted. It was not.The truth: I received no tax advice, no business guidance, and no real onboarding. The only thing they provided was payroll, which I paid for separately. My assigned tax person came to our meeting without reviewing my file, admitted to being new to the systems, and openly struggled to use them.Charging me for this is indefensible. Withholding services, then helping themselves to my business account after termination, destroyed any trust. Whatever they claim, the fact is simple: I paid for services I never received.I hired CSI Accounting to support my business with the expectation of receiving high-quality service based on their confident promises. Unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing. Despite the strong sales pitch, they failed to deliver on key aspects of their service.When I raised concerns and requested a fair negotiation regarding payment for services that were never rendered, they abruptly ended our relationship “effective immediately.” I then began formally disputing those charges through my American Express account. Rather than respond to the dispute in good faith or allow the process to play out, CSI took an entirely inappropriate step: they bypassed the dispute process and directly accessed my business checking account—without my consent—to withdraw the same funds.This withdrawal occurred more than a week after our business relationship had already been terminated and without any form of authorization from me. I did not give permission for this transaction, and their actions represent a serious breach of both trust and professional ethics.
