Furthermore, 68% of businesses admit to spending money on ineffective campaigns, a systemic failure that research by Amra & Elma in 2025 attributes directly to companies rushing into digital advertising without clearly defining their goals or audience.
Additionally, 46% of small businesses post on social media without a real plan, meaning nearly half of businesses hiring agencies for social media have no benchmark against which to hold them accountable.
If you cannot name a measurable outcome (cost per lead, monthly organic traffic, ROAS), you cannot tell whether the digital marketing agency in Pakistan delivered or just showed up.
Before approaching a single agency, write down one primary KPI and the number it needs to hit within six months. Everything else, which services, which platforms, and which budget, follows from that.
74% of marketing professionals cite team constraints and limited manpower as barriers to executing strategy, according to a 2025 RRD survey, which means that without a defined KPI agreed upon upfront, neither your side nor the agency's side will have clarity on what "done" looks like.
If you skip this, the Pakistani digital marketing firm will set its own benchmarks, such as impressions, follower counts, and post frequency, that are easy to hit and impossible to trace back to revenue.
You will be 12 months into the contract, having paid consistently, and unable to make the case for either continuing or leaving.
