We have been clients of gridhost that became 1-grid for more than 10 years and this year we have had the most atrocious service from them.They are totally unreachable.Our business email was not working consistently for almost a month but the final straw has been that they have not been delivering invoices so after been UpToDate with payments for over 10 years, when I logged onto there client service area I saw that I had fallen behind so I paid the 3 months of outstanding bills that I had not received and fallen behind.They then issued a reinstatement invoice for one of our domains, I told them I did not wish to reinstate the domain as it is inactive and was not aware that this would be changed.Be careful of 1- grid they are not a reliable host and will charge you for services that you do not request.Clearly once you have been a long term client it is not important to them have any client service as they feel that they have you locked in!

They then compounded their incompetence by allocating our payments to the wrong invoices.We had written confirmation via email that our account was updated to 30-day terms, only to discover that they updated one domain instead of all, directly contradicting what they promised.When caught out, they admitted the blunder and claimed it would be “handed over to another department” for urgent resolution. Days later? Nothing. No contact. No updates. No accountability.This is not just bad service, it’s a complete failure of professionalism and integrity. If you value your business, your time, and your sanity, avoid them at all costs!

Do not engage with Bruce Vorster or his company Galactic Digital at all costs. The project I paid for has persistent issues, including crashes and failure to meet agreed-upon milestones, and the result was completely unacceptable. He even threatened to sue if I didn’t pay for the poor-quality work—definitely a first for me dealing with someone like this. I had to pay a 40% upfront deposit and then paid for milestones marked as complete but were missing core features we discussed and included in our contract. Highly unreliable—proceed with extreme caution and consider other options to avoid this.
