We hired flexsin technologies to build software for us in July 2022. They agreed to sign NDAs and all relevant paperwork. They prepared the NDA as they preferred it and sent it to us for review and signature. We reviewed the NDA and changed the Jurisdiction to UK and sent it back to them for a signature which they delayed in signing up to date. After they reviewed everything, they gave us an estimation of USD 17,000. They sent us a contract with upper price cap stating that any extra activities and costs incurred above the agreed upper price cap will be their responsibility and we as the client will have to pay nothing extra. They estimated the project will take 12-14 weeks. They started the project and assured us the NDA and Contract is getting sorted and they will send it over as soon as. Long story short flexsin Technology never honoured the contract and the price cap as the price started increasing past the price cap. It is now been 8 months since they started the project and they have not signed the NDA nor the Contract as agreed. We noticed they misspelt the names on the NDA and Contract. We asked them to rectify the spelling mistakes and they have refused asking us to Change the NDA that they wrote themselves to meet their interests. They are asking us to include on the NDA that UPwork will resolve disputes in relation to incorrect spellings on the paperwork and the NDA as if they are planning to make more mistakes. Up work is just a platform that brings developers and clients together, UPwork does not resolve spelling mistakes and unsigned paperwork. UPwork is NOT developing our software for us, we did NOT share the software information with UPwork, we shared information with Flexsins Technologies and above all Up work did NOT misspell or fail to sign the NDA or Contract, that was Flexsins Technologies mistakes to fix and NOT UPwork mistakes to fix. They are now asking to write another contract for more money probably with another price cap just to lure. They have agreed to send the assets back to us immediately. I have had a great experience with Flexsin. My small business is a bit of a niche (horse racing) but the team at Flexsin worked very hard to understand the nuances. Very impressive breadth of skills on the team. The support work they do for my small business on a monthly retainer has been good, as has their project work on a mobile app.

I've been with Flexsin for 3 years now, and it's a great place to work. Talented technical staff and good management. After years of providing IT staffing solutions for US based companies with local personnel, I'm now able to save our clients a LOT of money by using the resources of our talented team of resources at our offshore development center instead.

Great Place to Grow and Learn – 6 Wonderful Years at Tatvasoft! I had the opportunity to work at Tatvasoft as a QA for 6 years, and it was truly a rewarding and enriching experience. Throughout my time there, I learned so much – not only in terms of technical skills but also in understanding best practices, teamwork, and professionalism. I'm grateful for the opportunities and support I received during my time at Tatvasoft. It's a great place for anyone looking to build a strong foundation in the IT industry.

After working here for 9 years, I finally had to leave because of the management style of my reporting manager. Many of my team members had raised complaints multiple times, but no one in HR or higher management cared to listen. There is no opportunity to learn new things or grow in your career. Instead of skill development, the reporting manager forces employees to do repetitive tasks even during free time, which feels like a complete waste of potential. The reporting manager is also very biased - very supportive towards female employees but extremely strict with male employees, applying rules like in a school. Despite being in Tatvasoft for more than 15 years, he still goes for lunch alone - which clearly shows how disconnected he is from his own team. Sadly, instead of valuing long-term employees, the company culture pushes people to resign. Definitely not recommended for anyone looking for growth and a fair, employee-friendly workplace.

Frequently Asked Questions About Software Development Companies in Dallas

What services do software companies in Dallas provide?

Dallas software developers provide a range of programming services that support the full lifecycle of a product. These specialists work with clients on product validation to reduce initial delivery risk and coding the front- and back-end of internal and customer-facing systems, platforms, apps, and tools.

Key services include:

  • Proof of concept (PoC) development
  • Minimal viable product (MVP) development
  • Web development
  • Mobile app development
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) development,
  • Cloud system development
  • System integration
  • DevOps services
  • Big data and analytics
  • Maintenance

How much do software development companies in Dallas charge for their services?

Custom software development companies in Dallas may charge between $20,000 and $250,000+ for a full software development package. The final rate is determined based on the project size, features, team structure, and timelines.

The type of software will also impact the service fee, as simple business apps entail a considerably smaller budget than a complex enterprise system with many functionalities and features. In terms of the pricing structure, developers operate on a few common models: fixed price, dedicated team, milestone-based, value-based, subscription, and revenue-sharing.

What is an SLA and what does it include?

A Service Level Agreement (SLA) is a formal, contractually binding contract between a service provider and an end user that defines the expected quality and responsibilities of the service. Technically, it serves as the operational framework for performance monitoring, often listing specific Service Level Indicators (SLIs) to measure deliverability against the defined Service Level Objectives (SLOs).

A standard SLA includes the following components:

  • Service scope: A detailed inventory of the services provided and excluded
  • Performance metrics: Quantifiable metrics like system uptime and throughput
  • Response time: Tiered timelines for acknowledging and resolving incidents based on severity
  • Penalties: Financial or service-credit consequences triggered if the provider fails to meet the agreed-upon standards
  • Exclusions: Scheduled maintenance windows that do not count toward downtime

What is the difference between response time and resolution time in an SLA?

In the context of SLAs, response time measures how quickly a service provider acknowledges a support request after it’s submitted. It emphasizes the initial interaction, so the user knows their issue has been seen and is being addressed.

By comparison, resolution time measures the duration from the moment the ticket is opened until the problem is fully fixed and closed. While a fast response time builds that initial trust, resolution time is often more critical for productivity because it defines when the user can get back to using the software.

Is quality assurance (QA) usually included in the basic fee or is it charged extra?

Whether QA is charged in addition to the basic fee will depend on the contract type. Namely, in fixed-price agreements, QA is usually bundled into the basic fee as a part of the development lifecycle. Conversely, if the offering is requested as a managed service, the testing is billed as a separate item or a dedicated resource.

While basic functional testing is complementary and standard, specialized services like penetration testing or load testing are almost always charged as an additional cost.
