- Project Brief: Modernize the website for a commercial and community solar developer so investors, partners, landowners, and employees see its scale, financial strength, and growth.
Solar investors want proof of scale on the first screen, and a technology website for a clean power company earns their attention with hard numbers. Design In DC rebuilt Summit Ridge Energy’s site around a full-screen video hero and a bold band of portfolio stats.
Summit Ridge Energy develops, owns, and operates commercial and community solar projects across the U.S. Its old site undersold the company’s credibility, market position, and growth.
The new homepage opens on video under the headline “Powering America’s Energy Independence.” A play button launches the full film, one of several videos Design In DC produced for the project.
The numbers follow right away. A stats band lists $7 billion in capital raised, 250+ solar facilities, and 60,000+ homes and businesses powered.
A Featured News slider keeps the latest deals and milestones in view. Next, a numbered What We Do section walks through project development, acquisition, and finance, with oversized faint numerals and rounded photos.
Further down, a Solutions block lets you toggle between on-site and off-site options. A progress bar swaps the content in place as you switch.
Community Solar gets its own section for local subscribers. Featured Projects cards list each site’s size, location, and carbon offset, which gives investors and partners the details they look for.
A cool palette of slate navy, steel blue, and pale gray-blue ties every section together. Poppins headlines and scroll-triggered reveals give the WordPress build a calm, corporate rhythm.
Design In DC also wrote the copy and shaped the content strategy. The team worked in an agile way, so the site kept pace with Summit Ridge’s acquisitions and shifting needs.
Results & Impact
