Walmart is one of the biggest retailers in North America and the world. It has a robust ecommerce presence, and a handful of dedicated mobile apps. The main Walmart shopping app is where users can shop for everything they would normally find in Walmart stores, as well as access useful features for consumers on the go.
The homescreen of the app is defined by a set of rotating banners which highlight current promotions and timely shopping categories, such as back to school supplies, school uniforms, and new arrivals. Users can also choose to shop by department, browse through featured products, special promotions, and categories that have been deemed top priority.
For each category of products, the app provides suggested filters based on user behavior. In ground coffee, for example, the app suggests filtering for brands like Folgers and Maxwell House, or by products that are designated as “Great Value”. Other filtering options are also available, so users have the ability to sort by price, recency, best sellers, and highest ratings. Users can also scan a barcode to bring up a specific product.
Product pages feature tons of product information as well as multiple large images. For each product the app also lists store availability based on the user’s location, so those customers who want an item quickly can find a store right from the product detail page.
The Walmart app is designed in a blue and white color palette, with yellow, green, and red accents. The app is bright and colorful, reflecting the approachable, friendly image of the brand.
Wal Mart is a bright app design in the e-commerce & retail industry.
