I'm very frustrated with this theme and platform. It is marketed as this amazing magazine theme with all of this amazing functionality. In reality, the functionality is VERY limited. It's built for static sites, not magazine sites. Their Opt-in-Builder is useless unless you have a very limited need for it. If you have a subscription service that also provides tangible products, there is no way to modify the cart to add a shipping address. Their platform is NOT compatible with about 99% of wordpress plugins. I have to turn off the $300/year Events Calendar on my site in order to edit anything becuase it's not their plugin and it breaks my site, and their option for an events calendar is to build it from scratch. No need in 2023 to build anything from scratch. That's what plugins are for. They built a platform for static sites, not magazine sites that evolve and need various functionality. Customer service responds quickly, but not with any really helpful answers. They don't explain and rather than helping to find a solution to their limited platform, they just respond with 'no you can't do that.' Obviously I know that, that's why I'm contacting you for a solution since plugins don't work on your site! I've put months and thousands into this site, building a new one from scratch isn't really an option at this point. So dissappointed with this platform. It has a lot of potential if they actually built it to be an evolving magazine platform, not a static site with limited membership capabilities. Totally overhyped! If you need a lot of functionality, don't use this platform.

Lack of indepth documentation for themes. Rarely updated. No obvious contact for bug support. This is badly needed.New Pro themes are a step in the wrong direction. Too much focus on desktop layouts to 'wow' people into purchasing the theme. More focus needed on streamlining faster themes that look good on mobile, most layouts skyscraper to ridiculous proportions on mobile. The idea of the cloud library is good, but in reality it's clunky and often buggy.Maybe I'm being too picky, but Newspaper isn't far from being perfect, so it bugs me. The more recent updates have come with a slew of problems though. Pick between a bloated legacy script or buggy cloud library items.I'll be sure to update if things change.
