Automotive websites are a great design resource when you factor in that the navigation is usually complex, and the information abundant. When searching for a luxury vehicle, not only do you want this information at your fingertips, but you also want to be wowed by the site as well. Land Rover does just this with their website for the new vehicle the Velar.

At first glance, you notice the big full-width photography and video showcasing the automobile. Should you wish to switch to another vehicle, or find more information about the company as a whole, the super navigation, main navigation and secondary navigation is well thought-out and visually appealing.

One of the first things you want to know is the vehicle price, which appears in a transparent box on the left hand side of the page, along with a rotating call to action that lets you explore key features, watch the film, or view the 360 degree exterior.
As you scroll down the page, jump links anchor to the top of the page and replace the main navigation, which at this point isn’t needed. The nice use of icons helps to identify four pathways before diving into the key features of the vehicle. A nice and clean grid system houses the photography and content in an organized fashion.
The photography is as you would expect -- high-end and indicative of a luxury auto manufacturer, with the location shots being exotic and modern. Not only are you able to view the photos, but you are able to interact with them by viewing 360 degree angles and point of view as if you were there in person. Small snippets of content allow just enough information to make the user want to click the call to action, although it's not overwhelming them or flooding the site with text. The fonts are small yet easy to read and lend to the luxury feel of the site. Â
