Found a highly misleading advertisement for promising to sell NOLs and R&D credits "up to 95% of the value" when what they were really trying to do was lead gen for doing R&D work (because the former isn't really possible). After I inquired, they spammed a phone number they found rather than communicated back to my email. To their credit, after I expressed my displeasure, they did write a more detailed reply.

Recommend staying away from this firm. I am a small business and figured I would take a chance on this firm based on the Google reviews. Dropped off our paperwork with ample time. Missed deadlines. Poor communication. Sent us a substantial surprise bill after providing us nothing. This is not the firm for you. We have been with Wiss for about (11) years now, so I believe we know their firm fairly well.At the start, they immediately saved us a considerable amount of tax liability in Year 1 and moving forward over the years. As we are a global corporation with many subsidiaries, they also made some recommendations as far as restructuring to take advantage of other more technical issues.We primarily use Wiss for our annual general accounting audit, tax preparations and filings, and 401K audit. They also assist from time to time regarding international related issues. As with many companies, changes of personnel do occur from time to time, but they have always made these as seamless as possible.We have also experienced Federal and State audits, which they have also guided us thru from A to Z.In summary, we value Wiss as a partner with our company and have always experienced a very positive, professional and full service relationship.

One of the accountants, who had never been on a cruise before, somehow managed to go on a two-week cruise—right after my money went missing.To make things even more suspicious, the IRS later sent me a notice for a 941 overpayment of $4,000, and $1,000 suddenly appeared in my bank account with no explanation. That’s a total of $5,000 that I know was taken. ( If we look closer we will probably fine a few more dollars taken) The money only reappeared after I pressed hard and made noise.They were nice and respectful on the surface—but that didn’t stop them from stealing from me behind the scenes. If you’re a business owner, beware. Do your homework. Trusting the wrong people with your books can cost you more than money—it can cost you peace of mind.
