Video Production Review from Bryce McPartland
We were referred to colormatics by our ad people at krem. We compared pricing and products of colormatics against a number of industry-specific marketing providers. Colormatics had the strongest portfolio and, surprisingly, offered exceptional pricing.
Colormatics laid out a full shoot schedule which was pre-approved. They arrived on scene early one morning and traveled across central Washington to four separate locations to make an exceptionally tight yet comprehensive video about our firm. We began around 8 am and wrapped about 430 pm.
Colormatics maintained excellent lines of communication including via email, text, cell and the video editing platform that they utilized. I always felt "in the loop" with them.

Colormatics has been an outstanding partner in creating a huge amount of assets needed for our biggest product launch of 2023. This includes but is not limited to: social media videos, product videos, mattress cutaway visualizations, YouTube bumpers, edited b-roll, and more. The whole team is always willing to hop on the phone or quickly answer an email, with fast asset delivery and willingness to bring forth suggestions/solves outside of their scope.

Video Production Review from Ryan Throckmorton
Our team developed the idea of showcasing individuals who are making a positive impact online within their own communities. When we shared the concept with Colormatics, they immediately explored creative ways to bring it to life visually. They transformed our vision into a compelling visual narrative.
The final piece blended live-action footage with motion graphics. We conducted interviews and also wanted to highlight the social media activity of these community members. Their profiles were used as a storytelling device, appearing almost like flashbacks, but animated in a way that made the content feel like it was unfolding in real time.
We’re now experimenting with turning interview voiceovers into animated illustrations. We believe these could resonate even more on social platforms. The plan was to compare performance between the two video styles, and we’re looking forward to testing them soon.

Mobile App Development Review from DJA
We paid $117,000 across two contracts $68,000 for development and $49,000 for marketing to Naked Development for a consumer-ready iOS and Android app and a full marketing funnel.
They delivered neither.
We originally requested delivery by Black Friday, the most critical sales window for a parent-focused consumer app. Naked Development proposed December as an alternative. That deadline was their own suggestion. They missed it. We extended to January, then February, then April, then issued a formal written Notice of Breach before giving them one final deadline the following June. Every deadline was missed. We were over 300% over timeline.
When we finally handed the codebase to a second development firm, the app would not build on either iOS or Android. We paid thousands just to get it running enough to assess the damage. The contracted team was never fully assembled. Tickets were put on hold without explanation. Subscription management, the most critical feature of the app, was broken for months and never fixed by Naked.
The commercial video Naked produced was unusable by launch, as cultural references had gone stale during the delay.
We are software engineers who have led teams of over 100. These were not minor issues. They were basic, objective engineering failures.
When we raised breach concerns with founder John Driscoll, his response was "let's just let our lawyers talk about it."
We are aware of more than a dozen other former clients who experienced similar issues. Do not recommend.
Mimi Bouchard
CEO at Superhuman Inc.

Mobile App Development Review from Mimi Bouchard
I hired Naked Development in 2022 to build a new version of my mobile app. I paid $203,000 upfront (spread over six months essentially everything I had saved from my first year in business), and was told the app would be completed in five months, by Fall 2022.
Instead, the project turned into nearly a year of delays, almost done updates, and declining involvement from their team. My very small internal team and I ended up doing much of the project management and QA work ourselves because progress had stalled so severely. Despite constant reassurances, no functional product was ever delivered.
By mid-2023, I hired multiple external development teams to assess the code. Every single one independently concluded that the app was non-functional, unstable, not scalable, and could not be launched. They warned it would crash immediately and required a complete rebuild. I then hired a neutral third-party auditor with zero connection to any agency and his report confirmed the same findings.
After paying over $200K, I had nothing usable. When I factored in delays, internal time lost, expert audits, and the cost of rebuilding from scratch, the financial impact to my business exceeded $500,000.
After multiple attempts to resolve the situation privately were unsuccessful, I filed a lawsuit, which is now a matter of public record (Superhuman Inc. v. Naked Development). The case is set for trial in early 2026. While litigation is never something a founder hopes for, at a certain point it became the only responsible path given the evidence and the financial damage.
I strongly recommend extreme caution when considering this agency.

Working with people that are as creative as I am is awesome. Receiving top marks across the board, Naked. is an innovative team of artists. The client praises them for their outside-the-box thinking and ability to connect on a creative level. Throughout the project, they’ve demonstrated attentive service and communication.

5 Frequently Asked Questions About Digital Marketing Companies in Texas
When should you hire digital marketing companies in Texas over remote agencies?
You should hire digital marketing companies in Texas over remote agencies when local market intelligence directly impacts your marketing strategy. Work with a remote agency when you do not need geographic differentiation.
For instance, a Texas-based agency understands the specific cultural and behavioral nuances of Houston consumers that a remote agency in New York would take months of trial-and-error to learn.
Hire digital marketing companies in Texas when:
You are geo-targeting consumers in specific Texas metros.
You are running hyper-local SEO campaigns.
You are competing in a market where regional dynamics matter.
Geographic proximity is a strategic advantage.
Consider working with a remote agency when:
You are running B2B campaigns targeting a specific job title rather than a place.
You are an eCommerce brand targeting national or global audiences.
You have SaaS products with no local component.
What is a realistic budget for digital marketing in a competitive Texas market?
A realistic budget for full-service marketing in competitive Texas is approximately $2,000-$4,000 per month for basic campaigns. Campaigns with enterprise-level scope and more competitive markets can reach $8,000-$15,000+ per month.
Typically, digital marketing companies in Texas quote their prices based on the marketing service, campaign scope and complexity, industry competition, target markets, and growth timeline.
Below are approximate costs of digital marketing services in Texas:
Social media marketing costs $1,500-$4,000 per month for content creation and community management of 2-4 platforms. Enterprise campaigns can go beyond $10,000 per month and involve video production and influencer marketing.
SEO service starts at $2,000-$5,000 per month for basic technical and on-page SEO, but can cost over $15,000 per month for multi-location campaigns and large websites.
Paid media management fees typically cost 10%-20% of ad spend, or $500-$3,000 for small campaigns and over $5,000 for more complex strategies.
Content marketing ranges from $200-$500 per piece for simple blogs to $1,000-$3,000 per piece for long-form content.
Email marketing management and content creation costs between $500 and $2,000 per month.
How long does it take to see the results of your digital marketing campaigns?
Paid media campaigns and social media marketing start producing results within 30 days or less, while local SEO and content marketing require approximately 3-6 months. Ultimately, the timeline will depend on your current performance, industry competition, aggressiveness of campaigns, and budget.
Here is a breakdown per channel:
Channel
Initial results
Meaningful outcomes
Paid media (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads)
30 days
Examples: Increased clicks and views
60-90 days
Example: Return on ad spend
Local SEO
3-6 months
Example: Higher traffic
6-12 months
Examples: Higher search engine page ranking (SERP), more stable traffic, and higher leads
What business outcomes should you define so you can hold digital marketing agencies in Texas accountable?
Before your first sessions, define your specific targets, qualified leads, attribution window, and competitive baselines. Doing so will enforce accountability and prevent wasted efforts on ineffective strategies.
Specific targets. Examples include the number of qualified leads per month or the cost-per-lead ceiling. If you know your margins, calculate how much a customer acquisition cost should be for marketing to be profitable. Having these numbers ready enables the agency to provide a proposal that more accurately aligns with your business goals.
Definition of a qualified lead. By clarifying what a market or sales-qualified lead looks like, you avoid wasting time, effort, and budget on tactics that target the wrong market.
Attribution window. In B2B Texas markets with longer sales cycles, a lead generated in January may close in April. You and your agency need an agreed framework for how to attribute revenue to marketing activity, or you'll spend every quarterly review arguing credit.
Competitive baseline. Without a documented baseline, you cannot measure improvement. Plus, agencies without accountability will claim credit for trends that were already moving.
What reporting should you receive every month as a baseline?
A reputable digital marketing company in Texas should include performance data connected to business outcomes, spend breakdown, SEO progress tracking, and data-backed interpretations in its monthly reports.
Conversely, a mediocre agency will use reporting as a retention tool rather than proof of work.
Performance data tied to business outcomes. Every report should show leads generated, cost per lead, conversion rates, and revenue attributed to digital campaigns when trackable.
Spend breakdown. A clear account of where every dollar went: media, tools, and agency fees. It should not have blended totals that obscure the split.
SEO progress tracking. Monthly movement in keyword rankings for targeted terms, organic traffic trends, and flagged and fixed technical issues. It should also show where your Texas competitors rank.
Ad creative and audience performance. For paid ad campaigns, reporting should reveal what ads are performing, which aren’t, and what tests are running.
Data-backed interpretation. The report should explain what happened, why, and the next actionable steps. Data without interpretation is just noise that protects the agency from accountability.
Direct platform access. Monthly reports should supplement your access to your ad and analytics accounts, not replace them. An agency that uses reporting to limit access is hiding something.
