Cliff Woodworth's Review Sourced from Google
We are a high volume ecommerce business, selling self-fulfilled, and drop-shipped conservatory and home improvement parts across the UK. We sell from our own website, plus the eBay, Amazon, and B&Q sales channels. Our existing website had performed well for a number of years, but was nearing the end of its lifecycle, and we were slowly falling behind technologically. So, we approached Studioworx, with a desire to move our website to a more progressive leading-edge platform - to a platform that would improve speed and stability, simplify and streamline processes, and offer a frontend that was more engaging, and easier to use, especially on mobile devices. In addition, we required a fresh design, additional functionality for custom products, and all integrating with Linnworks, our order management system.
We chose Studioworx, as from our first meeting, we were confident that they had the ideas, experience and team to take our website forward. They provided a well-defined proposal, which addressed all the concerns and aspirations that we had highlighted in previous meetings, with project stage and payment schedule, so we always knew where we were heading.
The project management team did a great job of marshalling things, and ensured that we understood what we had to provide and by when, and conversely, that the development team understood and met their responsibility.
The design and development team were incredibly responsive, and attentive. When we required clarification, or assistance in preparing data in the necessary format, they made themselves available to talk us through the process, and help where they could. Shopify was chosen as the platform for our website, and as any system, it can’t meet all the needs of all people. So, there was considerable customisation required. Studioworx were able to recognise when an app would satisfy functionality, or when a requirement would be best achieved with custom code from their developers.
We sell products that vary considerably in size and weight, plus those that require specialist handling like hazardous material, delicate oversize goods, or dropship items. This creates a great challenge when present shipping costs, especially in multi-line baskets. Never before had we got zonal exclusions and surcharges working alongside, specialist handling and dropshipping, but we have now. Now, customers can be sure that they are paying as little as possible for their shipping, and we can be confident that we’re not leaking money through underselling shipping.
Our customers have more reason to be thankful too, as thanks to Studioworx, they can now order some of our materials cut-to-size, which saves them time on site, and means they are paying for only what they use.
Will we choose Studioworx again, and recommend them to others – absolutely!
