Takes absolutely forever. No one to follow up to make sure all members of your “team“ are moving as they should. You can’t just call and get somebody on the phone. You have to schedule a time with them which could sometimes be months only for them to tell you they’re missing paperwork, Or “I’m not sure that’s not my department” or in my case, oh your person is no longer with the company. I have to reassign you to a new person! I had two months of business tax paperwork to combine with my personal tax paperwork and here it is August 2025 and those are still not done!! As a new business owner, I thought I was doing the right thing by hiring a team because I knew I had no business messing around with any numbers, but I have been so stressed out and Creating more work for myself after hiring them, then I would have with any other company. Don’t make the same mistake I did! stay away!

If you are filing a return with foreign assets, I would recommend using this firm. They are much more diligent than other competitively priced firms I have tried. They do have an internal review process to ensure standards as well. If you are paying an accountant to file your foreign disclosures you want it done properly since large fines are possible.

Just had the MOST unfriendly and rude call back from Norman Blatner. I called this office earlier today explaining that I was looking to hire a CPA to help me with NYS tax questions.I received a call back from Norman Blatner well after 5pm. He seemed to have misunderstood what exactly I needed help with and very rudely told me that he would not be able to help me and he was "just calling as a courtesy to let me know to remove his contact info from my list of people who could help me". When I tried to explain what it was that I actually needed he kept cutting me off and re-stating that he was just calling to tell me that he couldn't help me. He spoke very fast and wouldn't let me get a word in edgewise. His tone was rude and dismissive. He definitely is not anyone I would want to do business with. I don't know if he treats everyone like trash or if I was just the unfortunate victim of him today. I do not recommend anyone reach out to this guy for your CPA needs. Do better Blatner & Mineo CPA PC!!!!!

I have been using Faith Accounting for the past 3 years or so and the service is excelletnt. Coreen is so good that when I referred my mother after removing her from an accountant that had overcharged and had her owing money to the IRS, Coreen reviewed and fixed that year as well as doing the current year of taxes. She got all my mother's money back from the IRS and did not charge her for that resolution while being in the midst of a few days away of having her child. Coreen is excellent and knows her stuff!! I used FirstBase last year to set up my company, and honestly, I can’t recommend them if you’re looking for real guidance. The whole process felt very automated, almost AI-generated, with minimal human support. Their replies are slow or nonexistent, and the help they provide is extremely limited, which makes it really hard, especially if you’re a beginner trying to figure things out.If your only goal is to technically open a company, then yes, they can do that. But beyond that, don’t expect much. For the price, I’m sure there are cheaper options that deliver the same (or even better) level of service.I wish I had gone with a provider that actually offers hands-on support and clear explanations, because FirstBase made an already overwhelming process feel even harder.

Penny over charged me for my service. I spoke with a lot of my peers and they were absolutely shocked with the price a paid.I have a small solo cleaning business & I caregiver (on the books w/ a company so a W2). She charged me $250 with a “discount”I emailed her a week later bc I needed to add a few checks I found and she said it would be $100 to go back and edit my taxes.This was not fair at all.

Absolutely Horrible Service, Unprofessional and IrresponsibleI am beyond disgusted by the absolute nightmare we’ve experienced with this tax service. It is 2025, and I am still trying to figure out what they actually did with our 2019 business taxes. To say this situation is frustrating would be an understatement. Back in 2019, they assured us that our taxes were filed. Fast forward to now, and we get a letter from the state saying our business taxes for 2019 were never filed! Apparently, they filed an extension for us without us even knowing, and not once did they ever inform us of this.What’s worse is that when I first called them two months ago to address this, they kept promising me that someone would call me back in five minutes, then ten minutes, and I’ve been waiting for months. No one knows what’s going on, no one takes responsibility, and no one has been able to answer a single question. The level of incompetence is honestly beyond belief.Then, my husband called them yesterday and spoke with Shah, who I can only assume is the owner. Shah was rude, disrespectful, and completely unhelpful. When my husband told him that Anwar had filed an extension, Shah’s response was "It’s 2025, you’re telling me this now?" instead of offering any assistance or even attempting to resolve the situation. Instead of apologizing or trying to help us, he was condescending, dismissive, and frankly, just rude. To top it off, Shah didn’t even know what was going on or why the extension was filed. He didn’t offer any solution, just rude comments about how late we were telling them about the issue – as if we would even know there was a problem if we hadn’t received a letter.This whole thing is absolutely attotachoious (yes, I’m inventing a word for how bad this is). How is this company even still in business? They clearly have no idea what they’re doing, and it’s infuriating that they haven’t taken any responsibility for their mistakes. If you decide to use their services, make sure you check and double-check that your taxes are actually filed. Just because they hand you a piece of paper doesn’t mean your taxes are actually filed with the state – and based on our experience, I wouldn’t trust them as far as I can throw them.This company has zero professionalism, no accountability, and frankly, I wouldn't trust them with a dime. I would advise everyone to steer clear of them. I have no idea what they’re doing under the table, but whatever it is, it’s certainly not taking care of their clients’ taxes.
