I was contacted by one of Hire Better's recruiters for a position and after speaking with him, was asked to complete a personality profile and a writing sample so that I could be presented to his client. I never heard from him again and was contacted via email by an unknown person to send in a signed agreement. Again, crickets. Even though I may not have been a fit for the position, I think a simple follow-up email would have been appropriate. I sent personal information and communicated with the recruiter with the utmost of professionalism and respect. Trusting a stranger in the recruiting process is challenging enough without the additional sting of unreciprocated professionalism and respect.

I reached out to HireBetter on a recommendation from a business friend to help me find a new C-level opportunity. Keep in mind, HireBetter does not work for job seekers, they represent their client companies. Still, they made me feel like a part of their family. Over a several month period they went far outside of what I would expect from a regular search firm, by including me and other job seekers in weekly LinkedIn communication and networking events and making numerous job and networking introductions.
