Warby Parker is the ecommerce eyeglasses company that started an eyewear revolution. Though the brand has since opened brick-and-mortar locations in select North American cities, their roots are very much in digital. Warby Parker sells prescription glasses and sunglasses for prices that are much lower than consumers can usually find elsewhere. What’s more, the styles are fashion-forward and contemporary.
It’s no surprise then that Warby Parker also designed a gorgeous mobile app to serve the needs of its digital customers. This app offers a seamless and streamlined ecommerce experience that feels lightweight and easy to use.
The app features a white background with typography in a muted grey, punctuated frequently by Warby’s cheerful blue accent color. Navigation is done via a simple set of custom illustrated icons that line the bottom of the screen.
The app resists cramming too many products into a small space, and features a single pair of frames within the width of the screen. Users can scroll to the right to see each set of frames in different colors, or scroll endlessly downwards to see more and more options. For users who know what they’re looking for, the app allows for filtering based on color, width, shape, material, and type of nose bridge.
Product pages feature different views of the frames, as well as thorough product information, and a nifty rotating view of the frames on a model. Users have the option to create an account to save their prescription information, shipping and billing information, and to favorite products.
Warby Parker is a gorgeous app design in the fashion & beauty industry.
