Everything that looks and feels old and the vintage is hot today: whether it's fashion, home decor, or restaurants, everything that takes you back to the simpler times is cool once again.
Today, when going to a restaurant, instead of sitting in immaculate chairs at polished clean tables, people look for the grandma's old kitchen feel that is brought to them by materials like wood and iron and burlap. And this is what The Mugs Concept delivers. This canteen in Saint Raphael, France, offers homemade meals to its clients in a cozy environment.
When the user visits the website, they are presented with a photography of the space using a nice parallax effect (try moving the mouse and notice how the point of view changes). As we scroll, we are introduced to the concept behind the canteen with food and object photography explaining what makes them great, but it's the subtle use of parallax, not only in the banner but throughout the website, that makes this one special: moving umbrellas revealing the patio and rotating food plates are nice details that add up to the already great design.
Le Mugs is a colorful website design in the Food & Beverage industry.
