1. LeCrans Hotel & Spa by EWM

Best Travel & Leisure Website Designs
[Source: LeCrans Hotel & Spa]

Standout features:

  • Soothing, dynamic background
  • Inviting photos of Alpine scenery
  • Natural color palette

LeCrans Hotel & Spa is a safe space in the Alps. It’s a haven of exceptional stay, dining, and wellness experiences designed to let guests relax and forget their problems. EWM took this picture and repainted it through their beautiful website design for LeCrans.

The homepage greets visitors with a dynamic background that showcases the hidden pearls of the Alps, alluring you to make a reservation and enjoy the moment. Spread across the slideshow lies a therapeutic message: “Your Mountain Home.”

As you scroll down, you’ll find a snow-white space with a clean single-line horizontal separator right in the middle of the screen. Both sides are decorated with high-quality, real-life photography of the attractive scenery depicting the great European mountain, each accompanied by a brief copy.

Further below, you’ll encounter a discovery section and a majestic video of the woods on a pine-green background. The website has a stunning color story. It emanates the same feeling you can expect once you’re there in person, making it a lovely stroll on your browser.

2. Travelway Europe by Lithos Digital

Standout features:

  • Ethereal beauty
  • Carousel-like services catalog
  • Testimonials & partners on the homepage

Travelway Europe is a travel organization of the highest regard that excels in organizing trips for curious folks. Those interested in the background and the context of a destination, rather than plain sightseeing, will be delighted with Travelway Europe’s services. They asked Lithos Digital to help ensure their website design reflects their unique offers.

The homepage provides a sense of daydreaming and calmness with dynamic animation of a blue sky and moving clouds. Centered text lets you know that this is a multi-awarder tour operator and is the right place for your tailor-made traveling needs.

Below, you’ll find a list of reasons why you should choose this organization in particular. The viewer can easily comprehend the message conveyed through small, simple illustrations and some text.

Now, they’re ready to see the service catalog in a carousel-like preview of options. The viewer has three interchangeable options, each showing a dreamy picture of a particular destination and a call to action to learn more about it.

Another excellent section on the homepage is the testimonials. You can see customers’ experiences with the organization and the company’s many partnerships here.

3. Visit Guia de Isora by Travel Productions

Best Leisure Website Designs
[Source: Visit Guia de Isora]

Standout features:

  • High-resolution video background
  • Interesting geographical information (state-of-the-art photos)
  • An inviting discovery section

Guia de Isora is a municipality in the Spanish Islands of Tenerife. The tropical paradise asked Travel Productions to help them design the Visit Guia de Isora website with a self-explanatory name. The result is that you no longer ask for an explanation on why you should visit it, but rather – why not?

As soon as you ‘land,’ you get to see a high-resolution video portraying the best of the municipalities’ tropical lifestyle. The majestic nature ranges from dense forests to crystal clear seaside. The video also contains shots of the wide range of activities you can enjoy there, like cycling, scuba diving, sightseeing, and much more.

The website design addressed the common problem of planning remote getaways: the language barrier. The option to switch between three languages never leaves your sight – it remains easily accessible in the top left corner.

Are you worried about the timing of your visit? The design contains information on the weather, followed by a list of proposed activities to ensure that all you need to do is relax and enjoy your stay!

4. Maistra - hotels and resorts by PM techhub

Best Travel Website Designs
[Source: Maistra - hotels and resorts]

Standout features:

  • Sticky navigation menu
  • Dynamic, premium typography
  • Types of holidays and customer safety guarantees

Are you looking for preserved relics of the past, pieces of architectural genius? Do you want to visit the site where the Game of Thrones “King’s Landing” took place? Maistra has some excellent news for you! Upon visiting the website, you can experience all that and more through a portrait of the best Croatia offers.

PM techhub has designed Maistra’s website to ensure all your needs will be taken care of. The luxury font indicates the tone of their offers indicated on the homepage. If you’re looking for premium-level accommodation by the Adriatic Sea, Maistra is the right call to make.

After witnessing the landscape of the Croatian hidden gems such as Dubrovnik and Rovinj, you’ll get acquainted with their diverse catalog through a card carousel with a selection highlighting the offer you’re currently viewing.

The navbar is fixed at the top, so you can scroll freely and easily find your way back to your desired webpage. The brand also lets you access all types of safety assurances, so you can find the latest updates on the COVID-19 regulations on their page as well.

5. Tathra Beach Eco Camp by Holiday Brands

Standout features:

  • Pastel color palette
  • Gallery carousels across the homepage
  • Thorough textual information

You'll love Tathra Beach Eco Camp if you're looking for a wilderness adventure in the land down under. Holiday Brands helped us share that love with their website design!

The website is embraced with pastel green and grey, dressing it in a casual, relaxing fashion. The pastel palette urges the browser to unwind and experience the brand's offers through various live-action gallery carousels on the homepage.

Once you're bought with the visuals, you gain access to the narrative behind the brand. Along with their brand story, you'll also find vital information about your stay there and a glance at your potential activities.

The design crowns the storytelling across the two mediums (visual and textual) with a cleverly placed call to action to book your stay.

6. Hotel BEAUSiTE Zermatt by Positioner

travel and leisure web design
[Source: Positioner]

Standout features:

  • Beautiful visuals
  • Intro showreel
  • Witty messaging

The BEAUSiTE Zermatt opened its doors back in 1907, during Switzerland’s golden age of alpinism. Exuding grandeur and luxury from its perch just above the city and offers one of the best views of the world-famous Matterhorn. A century-old history of peak opulence required a transformation that would lift it up in the eyes of both guests and employees.

And what better way to do that, than a new website? This is where the aptly named Positioner plunged its metaphorical ice axe.

Besides the general outlook, the agency became acutely aware that the hotel needed to address different consumer targets, strengthen its connection to Zermatt and Matterhorn, create a more contemporary image, and attract better talent, all while improving its brand awareness and value over time.

The resulting website offers a fresh approach to alpinism by concentrating on the leisure alpinist - the one inspired by adventure in all its forms. It showcases a contemporary peek into the lives of real people who dare, it's an adventure embodied — all shot in the style of “a Wes Anderson adventure in the Alps”.

With beautiful visuals and dry humor messaging full of British wit the website aims to transform online visitors and inspire them to take a slide down the conversion funnel before they ascend and become part of this new golden age of alpinism.

7. Olympus Villas by Point Blank

[Source: Point Blank]

Standout features:

  • Smooth transitions
  • Intricate illustrations
  • Well-balanced layout

Located in south Pieria, at the foot of its divine namesake lies the luxury Olympus Villas complex. Each villa is located by the beach, offering a private pool, combining the intrinsically Greek palette - blue colors of the sky and sea with marble whites and the natural greens of the private garden and surrounding ambiance.

Inspired by this sight, Point Blank redesigned and developed the brand's website, aiming to establish a web presence comparable to the quality experience offered to their guests.

In the tourism industry, images are dominant, hence the combination of professional photography and video, produced especially for the needs of the website and ample negative space.

The navigation is smooth and intuitive. Each subsection is color-coded and accompanied by a characteristic animated illustration (designed by Giannis Orkopoulos), revealed in the navigation menu.

8. Hotel du Moulin by Doublezed

 tourism & leisure website design
[Source: Doublezed]

Standout features:

  • Stylish union of tradition and modern design
  • Prominent CTAs
  • Unconventional, albeit intuitive navigation

As a genuine guarantor of a century-old hotel tradition, Hotel du Moulin offers a space of comfort and indulgence to tourists and locals wishing for an exceptional stay or a table for a meal with flavors.

While their old site wasn't a century old it deserved a nice overhaul. Therefore, Doublezed provided a new online place, that's just as cozy with added dynamism and modernity that doesn't sacrifice the authentic and timeless character of the establishment.

The site offers smooth, intuitive navigation and a sober and elegant interface to facilitate exceptional UX from the presentation of the hotel, through that of its suppliers, to the reservation of a room or a table.

9. Anapnoe by Paros Kite by Kollective

Standout Features:

  • Captivating video banner
  • Hotel room slider
  • Easy reservation request form

Walking into Anapnoe by Paros Kite’s website is a breath of fresh air. The resort’s online portal visually represents its peaceful and rejuvenating environment and a taste of the distinct Anapnoe experience.

Kollective has done it again with this web design! Upon entry, site visitors are transported into the resort’s picturesque views and stunning landscapes – thanks to the full-screen video banner. The pristine visuals entice guests to choose the luxury watersports hotel for their next getaway!

The main section features a slider showcasing the hotel’s rooms, with critical details like room capacity, views, and other inclusions. Each selection has a CTA button that provides more information to a dedicated page.

And speaking of CTAs, an accessible Book Now button sits at the top of the navigation bar. At the bottom of the page, users can also plan their vacation via the reservation request web form.
