1. Merchmate by Katie Yarnell
- Listing available merch
- Clean screens
The biggest music fans enjoy getting closer to their favorite artists by purchasing their merch. It’s disappointing to head to the venue early only to find nothing new for you there. Thanks to the Merchmate app designed by Katie Yarnell, concertgoers can now save time and money!
The design includes a list of events near your location to help inform you of upcoming concerts in the area. Each preview has a short bio entry, followed by the main feature: a button inviting you to list through their available merch.
Aside from the details on available sizes and prices, you can also save the items to your wish list, ensuring they don’t go out of stock in a lengthy queue.
The screens are clean, focusing on the app’s unique features, and the buttons are in soft, rounded pink hues that easily stand out from the extensive positive space.
2. Emerge by Amy Sit
- Addressing social anxiety
- Provides ice-breaking tips
Amy Sit’s Emerge app design aims to help people with social anxiety leave their comfort zone more often. It does so with encouraging, action-oriented colors, tips, and rewards. These features peel the layers of uncertainty and help the target audience explore life’s treasures!
Confirming your attendance at an event is easy with just a tap. However, showing up can often be challenging. The Emerge app uses the stress that causes them to give up and turns it into rising excitement through relaxation and preparation.
The app provides icebreaker ideas to converse with someone new. Each time a person successfully checks in to the marked event, they also get rewarded by the app, setting them up a win-win scenario that’ll help them do it again!
3. Jurerê Funk Festival by 7Sins
- Groovy visuals
- Funky typography
- Curvy lines
7Sins worked hard to convey the true, authentic spirit of the Jurerê Funk Festival through tasty psychedelic visuals that decorate the festival’s app design.
The screen mimics the event's atmosphere, with groovy visuals blending energetic, vibrant colors with gentle pastel hues. The central visual represents a spiral that extends from the center of the screen, interlapping between a darker and lighter purple shade. It marks a background for the funky typography with the event name presented in large blue and yellow glyphs.
Finally, the atmosphere is elevated with curvy lines in each corner, contributing to the energetic and endlessly entertaining picture.
4. Evently by Pratyush Kumar
- User-oriented interface
- Embedded Google Maps
- Easy navigation
Pratyush Kumar wanted to make an innovative event booking app to help streamline the discovery and booking process. Enter Evently! This design features an interface tailored to the users’ needs and a flow that relies on their intuition, whether they’re organizing or looking for an event.
Event browsing is simple, avoiding the typical nuisance of heading to several paths to get all vital information. Once you’ve picked the perfect event, the design ensures you can plan your arrival easily, using Google Maps to calculate the distance and approximate travel time to the destination.
The booking process is made easier by providing step-by-step directions that help make the journey less hassle and exciting!
5. CineMatch by Adam Petersen
- Specific AI-generated recommendations
- Unique “GenreMash” feature
- Interactive swipeable card-stick
Cinematch is a perfect app for movie enthusiasts. Designed by Adam Petersen, the app solves the common issue — what to watch next?
With its AI-generated recommendations that develop the more you interact with the app, the design encourages you to be as specific as possible. The algorithm borrows the common dating swipe feature and implements it for movies, meaning users can swipe right for movies that interest them and swipe left for movies that aren’t their cup of tea. It's like Tinder, but for movies!
Another standout feature of this design is its unique “GenreMash.” This feature lets you combine several genres to find the perfect balance in a single movie rather than settling for compromises.
6. Event App by Onur Deliceli
- Clean and modern
- Location-based trending events
- Easily shared experiences
Onur Deliceli provided an exceptional concept for an Event App design that doesn’t compromise functionality while preserving a visual appeal. These features altogether provide exemplary UX.
The interface is clean and modern, with intuitively segmented sections across the screen. The users’ profile preview is at the top, followed by a gallery of the most popular events nearby. Another similar concept is limited to musical events near the bottom of the screen. Between the two is an emphasized comment section that helps users quickly go through their unique experiences.
The design filters the events based on your location, and you can easily adjust it anytime by editing your profile or changing the location.
7. TimeWise by Emma Sun
- Friendly illustrations
- Soothing, pastel color palette
- Encourages new passions
TimeWise's app design by Emma Sun aims to help retirees transition to retirement while encouraging them to find a new purpose or rediscover old hobbies.

8. Scene It Mobile and TV App by Samantha Yi
- User-first design
Ever been on a movie night with your buddies and you couldn't agree on what to watch for hours on end? Samantha Yi's got your back! Figuring out a movie to watch in a group setting induces great stress for many people.
Designing a custom-tailored app solution that recommends movies quickly and easily while considering individual preferences and tastes sounds like sci-fi, even today. But it doesn't have to be. This manifested in a mobile app and companion TV app that relies on a fun and convenient questionnaire to suggest an ideal pick.
Essentially, without tiring you with its technical ingenuity, Scene It, intended as a PWA (progressive web app), acts as a time saver without the added hassle of individual downloads. It simply uses your assets (mobile and TV app in tandem), you only need to grab the popcorn bucket and enjoy.
9. Movie Theatre App by Michelle Kier
- User-centric design approach
- Reliance on researched user behavior
Despite (or exactly because of) the emergence of streaming innovations of today, genuine cinephiles still prefer to attend the shows rather than experience them from the comfort of their couches. Some things never change and traditional visual spectacles manage to endure. However, that doesn't mean moviegoers visit cinemas blindly.
They tend to research the movies they're about to book tickets for and find out everything beforehand, without any spoilers in the process. Movie Theather App by Michelle Kler aims to streamline the journey. The pseudo-local movie theater feature lets you witness what's new, and what's the most popular, show you the latest trailers, and reviews, and top of it all, book the tickets, all in one session.
Now, that's convenient!
10. Wine Searcher by El Passion
- Detailed wine list view
- Quick onboarding process

The app’s onboarding feature ensures that users get the best results during their search.
They have to provide basic information on their wine preferences for a more tailored experience. Then they’re all set! It’s a three-step selection process according to Style, Taste, and Region.
Users can enter the Wine List View to explore the most suitable options. It displays wine selections in separate content blocks, with their names, images, prices, and ratings. To make this even more user-centric, the list is categorized into price sections like under $10, $25, and so on.
