Wevr Awesome Homepage

Virtual reality is one of the most talked about trends of the past few years. As the technology continues to grow, the ways people use virtual reality become more and more advanced. A bold new technology deserves a bold website, and that’s exactly what Wevr has delivered. Explore some of the best virtual reality website designs  here.

As soon as the page loads, an eye-grabbing red image that stretches to either edge of the browser window greets visitors. There’s a unique sculpture, bold white text, and a logo denoting a Tribeca Film Festival official selection. Some people may not quite know what’s going on yet, but they know it’s awesome.

Wevr Awesome About Page

Clicking the “About” link at the top of the page navigates to a clean, simple page. There is nothing fancy here. Just the facts. The typography fits the goal of the page. Wevr simply wants to share information and help people understand their goal. The company makes innovative and creative VR content. Wevr wants visitors to spend time watching their videos and understanding what they do best - not reading pages and pages of text. Sometimes simplicity can be beautiful, too.

Wevr Awesome Video Player

Back on the homepage, there is a full-screen video featuring bright pink text with a modern typography. If visitors still had any questions about Wevr after visiting the “About” page, this video will help change that. It’s an exciting, fast-paced video with samples of Wevr’s work, quotes from major media outlets, exciting music, and even an appearance from comedian and musician, Reggie Watts.

Wevr Clean Website Design

The contrast between different sections of the website as visitors scroll along is very interesting. The site greets you with a bold image and shows off an exciting, full-screen video. On the other side of the coin is a very generic and simple “About” page. The “Press” page is also very simple and clean at first glance. Visitors will immediately notice the black logos on the white background. Fast Company, The New Yorker, The New York Times, TechCrunch, The Wall Street Journal, and The Hollywood Reporter are not small media companies. These are incredibly notable publications and the simple but effective contrasting of the black and white says that this is an important page and viewers should take notice of.

Hovering over one of the logos with a cursor initiates an animation that transforms the black and white logo into the title of the piece that the publication wrote about Wevr. Clicking on the quote will take the user to the original article. It really is a simple page, but an effective one. It also fits in perfectly with the contrasting styles and colors that seem to alternate across the Wevr website. They’re a company creating unique content and they have a unique website to match.

Wevr is an awesome website design in the Entertainment, Professional Services and Technology industries.
