MunichRE is one of the world’s leading reinsurers. The company was founded on April 19th, 1880, over 137 years ago. MunichRE has over 43,000 employees and revenue of €48.9 billion a year.

The 1970s were a time of a valiant effort by MunichRE to develop markets in Asia, Sydney, Manila, Singapore, and Taiwan.

The logo was created in 1973 by popular designer Anton Stankowski. The logo features a cubic shaped diamond with horizontal lines riveting through the entire shape. The lines stand for exchanges, partnership, trust, solidarity, and differentiation.

This also is represented by the blue color of the font. Blue emits trust and security and stability which is perfect for an insurance company. Clients want to know that their assets are in safe and responsible hands.

The color of the logo is a blue in #00538A. The font type of the MunichRE logo is Tablet Gothic Narrow Semi Bold. Tablet Gothic was originally created to be a titling type font. This helped designers that worked on publications who required output as hard copies and a variety of digital platforms simultaneously.

The font type is stout, straightforward, and extremely clean. It also retains a high level of personality to make it pop out from the page. The result is a highly visible and beautiful font that can be readable through a multitude of mediums.
