Australian skincare brand Frank Body instantly draws users into their webiste. Unlike the clean, corporate nature of many ecommerce pages, Frank Body website isn’t afraid to be playful.
A video central to the aesthetic plays as soon as the user lands on the home page. Featuring music, makeup, and sensual images, the campaign film immediately grabs the user.
As the user scrolls away from the video, the dramatic music continues to play, creating an interesting contrast with the playfulness of the page. Pink and red colors add to the playful aesthetic of the home page. Taking this idea a step further, the cursor appears as a cherry, evocative of retro internet culture.
Scrolling through the rest of the home page, product photos and more campaign videos highlight the different products in the Frank Body product line. A slider about halfway down the page allows the user to click through reviews from high profile websites and magazines.
