Taste Java Logo Design Uses Clever Minimal Elements to Communicate Class and Exclusivity
Taste Java is the critically acclaimed bar & restaurant from Villa Borobudur Resort. Located right next to Villa Mahayana, on the slopes of the Javanese Menoreh mountains, overlooking the famous Borobudur Temple, Taste Java offers more than a unique culinary experience - it’s an authentic Javanese cultural institution.
That said, Mirage opted to merge these two aspects and pack them into one neat elegant logo design. It commands attention effortlessly while clearly communicating the brand’s purpose. It’s timeless but unmistakably rooted in 21st-century aesthetics.
While the logo checks all the contemporary design trends including simplicity, clarity and minimalism, Mirage seamlessly incorporates evocation of the brand’s origin and opulent nature, making it exclusive in terms of symbolism and originality, not its clientele.
Taste Java’s Brand Identity Draws from Locale’s Affluent History, Customs and Tradition
Taste Java hosts traditional ceremonial events, cooking classes, fruit gardens, and a sundeck providing unforgettable views of the striking Javanese landscapes surrounded by the vibrant jungle and volcanoes. It’s an immersive, secluded and impressive experience.
Taste Java logo design was conceptualized as an intrinsically Javanese brand, prominently embracing the local environment and history. Its newly formed core values had to be incorporated as a foundation; sustainability, purity and harmony.
Taste Java's design reflects the expertise of branding agencies in finding a balance between authenticity and progression. It attracts both a local and international audience while contributing genuinely to the memorable experiences of its guests.
Additionally, Mirage used a geometric Joglo-inspired custom icon as the core of the renewed brand. The genius of that decision is that the geometric, monogram part of the logo looks ultra-modern, while it also evokes a Javanese traditional, rounded folk pattern.
The Logotype and Word Mark in Taste Java’s Logo Can be Used Separately
The somewhat abstract, landscape icon and the serif “Taste Java” complement each other beautifully but they can also be used individually. The two elements work together seamlessly and form a logical circle, however, separating them doesn’t take anything from the brand’s message. It exemplifies how logo designers can create versatile and impactful logo designs that maintain brand recognition
Depending on the need for different publications and purposes, Taste Java may resort to using the monogram or just a word mark. This is very useful for various business collateral including business cards, stationaries and other publications.
Monogram illustration commands attention and invites consumers to truly feel (and taste) the brand, while the highly legible typeface is clear-cut and classy.
The serif typography breaks the mold as minimalistic-oriented designers usually opt for its sans-serif counterpart. This in turn opens an opportunity to segment the branding even further, using just the restaurant’s initials.
Taste Java Logo Design Is Seamlessly Applicable To A Wide Array Of Media
Unlike their namesake, Mirage delivered a tangible, albeit flexible graphic solution, applicable to a variety of different platforms and printed media.
Whether the logo is painted in the monochromatic golden shade or uses a two-color scheme it emanates delicate grandeur and prosperity - qualities worthy of our Best Logo Design Award!
