- Months 2 to 3: You have enough data to cut underperforming keywords and double down on profitable ones. Results stabilize, and you hit your target return on ad spend (ROAS).
Who owns your ad accounts?
You should, but you might not. The legal and technical ownership of an ad account depends entirely on how it was set up and what is in your contract.
If you set up the account using your business email and your credit card, you own it. You simply invite a PPC agency as a partner or manager. If you choose to finish the partnership, you maintain full control and can remove their access at any time. You keep all the historical data, the winning ad formulas, and the tracking pixels that have learned who your customers are.
When a PPC agency manages campaigns under its own account, you don't retain ownership. If you part ways, you could lose valuable campaign data and have to start from scratch.
