Extremely Disappointing Experience with Acuity Bookkeeping and Accounting ServicesI hired Acuity to help with bookkeeping and accounting, but the results were frustrating and unprofessional. Instead of properly categorizing transactions and providing accurate reports, almost everything was labeled as "uncategorized," making the books completely unreliable.They set up several automated apps that required me to pay extra subscription fees. None of these tools integrated correctly, and they only made the situation more confusing. Rather than helping me gain financial clarity, their system created more problems and wasted both time and money.I was hoping for experienced support and clean financial records, but what I received was a disorganized mess. I would not recommend Acuity to anyone looking for dependable accounting services.

Incompetent and negligent. Their employees will get back to you at their own discretion and will find any way to try to put any wrongdoing or mistakes back on the client or yourself. They have cut corners with my own payroll that I've had to correct after multiple discussions and confirmations on the very subject. That after having to fight for nearly 2 months to even get the correct timecards posted and onboarding paperwork approved. An absolute joke of a company. CSI Accounting may try to spin this by saying they offered me a new accountant or that taking onboarding fees from my account—after our relationship was terminated—was warranted. It was not.The truth: I received no tax advice, no business guidance, and no real onboarding. The only thing they provided was payroll, which I paid for separately. My assigned tax person came to our meeting without reviewing my file, admitted to being new to the systems, and openly struggled to use them.Charging me for this is indefensible. Withholding services, then helping themselves to my business account after termination, destroyed any trust. Whatever they claim, the fact is simple: I paid for services I never received.I hired CSI Accounting to support my business with the expectation of receiving high-quality service based on their confident promises. Unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing. Despite the strong sales pitch, they failed to deliver on key aspects of their service.When I raised concerns and requested a fair negotiation regarding payment for services that were never rendered, they abruptly ended our relationship “effective immediately.” I then began formally disputing those charges through my American Express account. Rather than respond to the dispute in good faith or allow the process to play out, CSI took an entirely inappropriate step: they bypassed the dispute process and directly accessed my business checking account—without my consent—to withdraw the same funds.This withdrawal occurred more than a week after our business relationship had already been terminated and without any form of authorization from me. I did not give permission for this transaction, and their actions represent a serious breach of both trust and professional ethics.

I wanted to reach out and personally thank Brown Edwards! Specifically Bradley. I recently lost my mother, father and brother and inherited some money and investments. Me, being a scared 20 something year old grieving the loss of my family, reached out to my financial advisor who told me brown edwards could help me. He notified me in advanced of the expensive cost of their services but I was more than willing to pay the price to have peace of mind and the help of experts. I called brown edwards and was transferred to Bradley P. We discussed the cost and I notified him I was more than willing to pay that price. Bradley laughed and kindly notified me that they typically only handle the “top of the top in Roanoke”and said i could be better served by a company that rhymes with “hr clock”. So, I contacted that company and guess what? The man I spoke with actually used to work for Brown Edwards! He left his position there to travel the world and Spend time with his family, And he was able to help me and my silly step up in basis concerns, at only a fraction of the cost! So I personally would love to thank Bradley for laughing in the face of a scared young woman who lost each and every one of her immediate family members, for making me cry when I was at my lowest, and recommending a different company. I will also add the receptionist was 10/10 she was very sweet and apologized on his behalf

I can only comment on the lack of services that I received. I left an inquiry on the website and called them 3x and left messages and spoke to the admin assistant. A week later, I never received a call back. I was warned because the person that referred me said they were difficult to get in touch with but were really good at what they do. Nonetheless, I went with a smaller firm that can give me better access to them when its needed. Your mileage may vary :(
