AWGA Typography Logo Design

The logo for The Art Gallery of Western Australia (AGWA) finds a balance between symmetry and the line of perspective. It plays on shapes with the letters positioned in a clockwise motion, yet creates a blank square in the middle. The letters look like they’re moving in a deep, perpendicular motion which overshadows each letter. For example the “A” in the top left corner looks as if it falls behind the white space.

AWGA Modern Logo Design

The typography is fresh, trendy, and modern with thick lines and plays into the geometric manipulation of the design. Although the design has always remained the same, the colors of the letters have been black, orange, and white.

AWGA Logo Design

The logo has been adapted as AWGA’s symbol, which speaks to the museum being influenced by artistic modern expression. For example, the above photo is the museum’s about page. The logo is subtle, but matches the modern theme of the page.

AWGA is a typography logo design in the arts & recreation industry.
